Last month, Nicki Minaj teased that she would appear on the Season 6 reunion of “The Real Housewives of Potomac." At first, folks were a bit confused about her appearing on the show, however, she’s a huge fan and seemingly worked out a deal to co-host the “RHOP” reunion after tweeting about it.

Not everyone was here for it though, especially with everything that’s going on with her and husband, Kenneth Petty, being sued for allegedly threatening and intimidating Kenneth’s rape victim.

The controversy didn’t stop the show though.

On Sunday, the QUEEN raptress took over Andy Cohen’s seat and hit the stage with the “RHOP” ladies, including Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton, and a “friend of” Askale Davis, to guest host Part 3 of the Season 6 reunion.

The self-proclaimed "RHOP" stan didn’t waste any time to get into the drama and called out “RHOP” star/new mom again Ashley Darby for not having a storyline.

Bloop.

The 38-year-old entertainer – decked out in Dolce & Gabbana – also had some fun behind-the-scenes with “RHOP” star Karen Huger and her hubby, Raymond Huger:

Nicki even chopped it up with Andy about what she’ll discuss with the ladies before hitting the stage:

Well, it seems adding Nicki as the host didn’t do much for ratings. They fell. According to TV Deets & ShowBuzz Daily, ratings for Part 3 of the reunion fell to 967,000 viewers. Part 1 and Part 2 had over 1 million viewers.

So far, Part 3 is the lowest-rated “RHOP” reunion episode so far this season. Yikes.

In Nicki’s defense, the 2021 American Music Awards (hosted by Cardi B) aired during the "RHOP" reunion time slot, so maybe folks were locked in to ABC.

‘RHOP’ EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK: Wendy Osefo Warns Gizelle Bryant To Stop Repeating Cheating Rumors About Her Husband Eddie, HEAVY On The ‘Warns’

Whew.  Zen Wen takes a back seat to Dr. Wendy With The Reads on the next epsode of "Real Housewives of Potomac".  Ish gets very tense when Wendy warned Gizelle Bryant about playing with her husband Eddie’s name and those cheating rumors.  We’ve got an exclusive sneak peek inside.

Wendy Osefo has been zen’d out and snatched all the way up thanks to her full body makeover and new focus on other areas of her life outside of academia.  But apparently, one mention of her husband Eddie in a negative light and chick is right back to reading for filth. And can we really blame her?

On the upcoming episode of "RHOP," Wendy, Karen & Askale have made the journey from the Cottage over to the Estate to have a ponderosa, and things go left quickly.

New-mom-again Ashley Darby arrived to the cast trip in Williamsburg, VA fresh off the delivery room table with some tea.  She tells Wendy that after a convo with Gizelle, she’s learned that Eddie Osefo is embroiled in alleged cheating rumors on certain blogs.  Gizelle and other cast members had been speaking low key about whether the rumors had anything to do with Wendy’s complete change in attitude and appearance lately.  Gizelle actually asked the girls last episode if Wendy was possibly overcompensating for the rumors – true or not.

Of course, Wendy now wants to have words with Gizelle for bringing up the rumors on camera, and that brings us to the upcoming episode’s big blow up.  Wendy INTENSELY warns Gizelle about "coming for her husband’s name," and Gizelle couldn’t sip her drink any harder.

‘RHOP’ Returns…This Summer! New Season Pushed Back Due To Coronavirus, But Here’s A Sneak Peek (And The New Housewife)

The Potomac ladies are back (kinda)! Thanks to the Covid_19 pandemic, we’re going to have to wait longer than originally expected for the shenanigans to begin.  Deets and the first look inside.

The season has been wrapped for a while, but it’s going to be a few more months before we actually get to see everything play out.  We already know some ish went down between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett that got super physical and catty and caused folks to stop filming with Monique.  But maybe the new "Housewife," Dr. Wendy Osefo, will bring some calmness to the crew? Probably not.

Here’s what’s going on with the gals this upcoming season:

  • Love is in the air as Gizelle Bryant rekindles a relationship with her ex-husband, pastor Jamal Bryant, but her daughters are struggling to accept their new normal, making things challenging for the couple.
  • Although Karen Huger and Ray are back in Potomac with a beautiful new home, their 23-year “institution” may be in question when Karen discovers that Ray’s feelings for her might not be the same as they used to be.
  • Ashley Darby and Michael are in heavenly bliss with their new baby, Dean. But just when their relationship gets back on track, their newfound happiness is threatened by news of Michael’s wild night on the town.
  • Robyn Dixon and Juan have been through hell and back, and after living under one roof with their two sons for six years, Robyn is ready to make things official. Now all she needs is for Juan to make his move or will she make hers first?
  • Juggling a house with three kids and a new feathered friend is taking its toll on Monique Samuels. The last thing she needs is drama with Candiace, but when a night with the girls gets out of hand, their friendship takes a turn that impacts all the women.
  • Candiace Dillard Bassett and Chris celebrate their first year of marriage and contemplate adding a baby to the equation. Before Candiace can focus on family matters, though, she must deal with her unresolved issues with Ashley and mounting conflicts with Monique.
  • Nigerian-American Dr. Wendy Osefo, the newest housewife, is a triple threat as a professor, political analyst, and entrepreneur. She’s been married for nine years and is the mother of three children, including a newborn daughter. Never one to be underestimated, she is full of sass and ready to make her mark in Potomac.

Speaking of Wendy, you’ve probably seen her on social media taking folks to task on CNN and the likes.  Yes, she has a proven and legitimate job that no one is going to be able to question.  But you know they still will (looking at you, Karen and Gizelle).   Here’s more about the working mom & wife:

Dr. Wendy Osefo is the essence of a Renaissance woman— professor, political analyst, and entrepreneur. As a Maryland native, Nigerian-born Wendy joins the ladies of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” this season. With her strong personality, she knows how to hold her own and speak her mind when it comes to standing up to the other ladies.

Wendy’s life and upbringing embody the ultimate immigrant journey. Growing up with a single immigrant mother who put herself through college, Wendy learned first-hand the value of hard work and never thought of excuses or failure as options. Now an award-winning Nigerian-American television personality and progressive political analyst, she is on a quest to fulfill her insatiable appetite to succeed and obtain the American dream. Wendy received a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University, a Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science from Rutgers University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Rutgers University, where she made history by becoming the first black woman to earn a PhD in Public Affairs/Community Development.

Wendy is also a philanthropist who has sought to give back by supporting the next generation of leaders as the founder and CEO of the 1954 Equity Project, LLC, which provides tools, mentorship, and resources to underrepresented minorities to help them thrive in higher education. Wendy is currently a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education specializing in urban education and politics. Prior to joining the faculty at The Johns Hopkins University, Wendy served as the Director of Family and Community Engagement for President Barack Obama’s antipoverty initiative, DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative. When she is not busy traveling to exotic destinations or on date nights with her hubby, Wendy loves to cook for her family. Wendy also has a penchant for interior design and hopes to start her own home essentials line in the future.

Wendy has been married for nine years. She and her Nigerian husband, attorney Edward Osefo met as teenagers, were friends for several years before making it official after graduating college, and have been together ever since. They have three beautiful children together, seven-year-old son Karter, five-year-old son Kruz, and the newest addition to the family, newborn daughter Kamrynn.
