Tamar Braxton’s 911 Call Reveals She Left Suicide Note & Took Pills + She’s Now Awake, Family & Friends Ask For Prayers

New details about Tamar Braxton’s alleged suicide attempt are coming to light. The 9-1-1 call has surfaced it reveals she left a suicide note and that she possibly ingested pills. More inside…

Tamar Braxton was found unresponsive inside the Ritz Carlton Residences in downtown L.A. last week.

A 9-1-1 call from David Adefeso, Tamar Braxton’s boyfriend of about a year and a half, reveals the singer had apparently taken an unknown amount of prescription meds while simultaneously drinking alcohol. He found her unresponsive, and reportedly said he believed it was a suicide attempt.

Now, the 9-1-1 call David made has been obtained by TMZ where news of a suicide letter came to light. According to the site, the “Braxton Family Values” star described the network’s leaders as “cruel white slave masters” who were “destroying a great Black family” in the name of show ratings.

"I am a slave. I do not own my life. My stories. My pictures. My thoughts or beliefs,” Tamar reportedly wrote. “I’ve asked my massa to free me. I’m threatened and punished for it. The only way I see out is death. I will choose that before I continue to love (sic) like this. Please help me (praying hands emoji)," she continued.

In the call, David is heard saying, “She’s been drinking and she’s on medication for depression.”

Apparently, the reality star had been taking medication for depression and anxiety.

He continued, “She was very angry earlier on. She’s had trouble with the network, the company she’s working with, and they did something today.”

David is reportedly heard crying and then he shouted, “F**king network.” He basically confirmed the reports that said Tamar has been uber frustrated with WEtv.

You can listen to the 9-1-1 call here.

WEtv announced Tamar’s new docuseries "Get Ya Life" last week. Apparently, that may have caused extra strain on the "Love and War" singer who has been frustrated with how the network has been treating her and her family.

Tamar’s sister Toni Braxton was spotted hugging David when she arrived at the hospital:

When you are a strong person, you manage stress differently! People tend to judge the outside Strength on the inside abilities to cope! A lot of strong people cry in the dark and hurt alone. I talk to Tamar often! Spoke to her yesterday and tried to pull her thru this moment. Spoke to her and David today! I say that to say this…check on your strong friends! Try not to judge so much! know that there are people being treated wrong for real and It’s really painful. I know Tamar is gonna get thru this but please pray for her strength

A post shared by Nene Leakes (@neneleakes) on Jul 17, 2020 at 4:15pm PDT

“RHOA” star NeNe Leakes opened up about Tamar Braxton’s emotional state on social media.

“I talk to Tamar often! Spoke to her yesterday and tried to pull her thru this moment. Spoke to her and David today! I say that to say this…check on your strong friends!,” Nene wrote in an IG caption.

NeNe encouraged her fans to NOT judge Tamar and to pray for her during this trying time.

”Try not to judge so much! know that there are people being treated wrong for real and It’s really painful. I know Tamar is gonna get thru this but please pray for her strength,” NeNe wrote.

Tamar’s sisters – Trina, Traci, and Towanda Braxton – asked for prayers amid her hospitalization.

A post shared by Traci Braxton (@therealtracibraxton) on Jul 18, 2020 at 12:59pm PDT

An IG user named Jason Kanner came to Traci’s defense, using Tamar’s original frustrations with the network as an explanation:

”You guys I guarantee a part of her contract for this film is promoting them on social media,” he wrote. “This kind of ties into a Tamar Braxton was saying about being a slave to the ( we tv) network. Artists are forced regardless of what’s going on the world to promote projects Through their social media channels. This post also could’ve been preplanned and set to drop at a certain time days ago. Not everything is black-and-white I’m sure her heart is with her family but she has contractual obligation’s to promote her stuff that’s just how it works.”

As of now, WEtv is still going forward with "Get Ya Life" as it’s set to premiere July 30th at 10/9c. The network released a statement regarding Tamar’s situation:

Tamar Braxton has been part of the WE tv family for nearly a decade. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers and joining with her fans sending strength and healing at this difficult time.

— WE tv (@WEtv) July 17, 2020

"Tamar Braxton has been part of the WE tv family for nearly a decade. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers and joining with her fans sending strength and healing at this difficult time," the network tweeted.

Very interesting.

GIRLS IN THE HOOD OUT NOW EVERYWHERE

A post shared by Hot Girl Meg (@theestallion) on Jun 25, 2020 at 9:08pm PDT

It’s the official first weekend of the summer and the Houston Hottie made sure to give her hotties something to turn up to – even if we are in quarantine. Well, some of us.

After landing at the No. 1 spot on Billboard for her "Savage Remix" with Beyoncé, the Stallion returns to the music scene to kick off summer 2020! The 25-year-old rapper released her new track "Girls in the Hood" at midnight and the hotties are already cutting up. The beat samples Eazy-E’s classic track “Boyz-n-the-Hood" and it’s the perfect vibe to turn up with your girls while doing hood rat things.

"Girls In The Hood" is a street-smart ode to the area Megan grew up in and the pride in being a product of her surroundings. A celebration of the lifestyle and energy of her community, "Girls In The Hood" features all the hallmarks of Megan at her finest; playful lyricism, hard hitting delivery, and a self-confident vibe. Using the track to celebrate her culture and her blackness, Megan has created an anthem reminding girls worldwide that just because you’re from the bottom, it doesn’t mean you can’t come out on top and keep it real the whole way.

Take a listen below:

The Savage x Fenty ambassador (who shouted Rihanna out on the new track) has been nominated for five BET Awards, which include Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Album of the Year, and Video of the Year. She’s also set to perform during the awards show which is set to air live on BET and CBS at 8pm EST.

THE PRODUCT III: STATEOFEMERGENCY OUT NOW ‼️ LINK IN THE BIO

A post shared by Yungin’ (@augustalsina) on Jun 25, 2020 at 9:03pm PDT

August Alsina is back! The R&B singer just returned to the music scene with some new music from his new album, The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy.

Fans were gifted 27 tracks from the singer with features from Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Juicy J and Tink. It’s been almost four years since he last dropped an album, so his fans deserve all of the tracks he provided. On the album, he shares the difficulties of his lifetime and tribulations he has dealt with up until now. In anticipation of his album, Alsina spent the week prior to his release dropping a new single daily, giving his fans a taste of what’s to come with “NOLA,” “Rounds,” “Work To Do,” “Sincerely” and “Deliver Us.”

August represents so many touch points within Black America right now: healthcare given his struggle with rare auto-immune disease, socio-economic issues, police brutality, and Black on Black crime — which is seen throughout the 5-part documentary series and heard within his new album.

You can take a listen below or stream it wherever you get your music:

A post shared by Yungin’ (@augustalsina) on Jun 23, 2020 at 4:48pm PDT

The New Orleans native dropped a five-episode docuseries on YouTube titled “stateofEMERGEncy: The Rise of August Alsina” — which debuted earlier this week.

“I’ve been working. Been working on myself, my family and my health,” Alsina said. “While on my journey I’ve discovered that life is like one huge puzzle w/ limitless pieces. I’ve been putting the pieces of my puzzle together — with my new music and documentary, stateofEMERGEncy."

You can check out all of the episodes here.

As for more new music….

Toni Braxton teamed up with Missy Elliott for a remix of “Do It.”

On the track, Toni pulls inspiration from her own experiences and shares advice for anyone struggling with the decision to end an unhealthy relationship. Well, she’s not singing about her own relationship. Back in April, Toni said she and her fiance Birdman are getting married THIS year regardless of the Coronavirus pandemic. They have been engaged since 2018.

Toni & Missy bring a fast-paced tempo to the remix while reiterating the Grammy winner’s encouragement to leave a toxic relationship by rapping “let him know I gotta do it, ‘cause he already done and blew it.”

On collaborating with the living legend, Missy stated, “Toni’s team reached out to my manager and asked if I could produce a remix for her next single. They said, ‘Hey if Missy wants to rap on it we would love that too.’ So they sent me the record and my boy Hannon and I, sped the track up to a mid-tempo and re-arranged the music. To be honest, I was scared to send it because anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a huge fan of Toni Braxton! I’ve worked with so many legends. I’ve even worked with Tamar. But I had never worked directly with Toni before. So I thought, what if she hears it and says ‘oh HELL NAH Missy done messed my record up.’ But thank God when she heard it, she loved it and hear we are! Now I can say I finally worked with the living legend—Ms. Toni Braxton.”

“Do It” with Missy Elliott is the latest single from the "Braxton Family Values" star following her multi-Grammy nominated album, Sex & Cigarettes. Take a listen to her newest musical offering above.

New visuals….

Rapper DaBaby just released the video treatment to his hit single “ROCKSTAR” featuring Roddy Ricch. The Reel Goats-directed visual comes as the single continues its chart-topping reign: earning DaBaby his first #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and snagging #1 on Rolling Stone’s Top 100, while approaching #1 at Rhythmic Radio. The song also peaked at #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop, Hot Rap Songs, Streaming Songs charts and in several international markets.

DaBaby is getting it. He also recently released a Black Lives Matter Remix, adding his voice to the conversation surrounding the current hot-button social justice issues. Watch the “ROCKSTAR” video above.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES! Teddy Riley vs. Babyface’s Live Battle Fail Taught Us A Valuable Lesson – Sometimes Less Is More

When doing the most goes totally wrong! The Teddy Riley vs. Babyface IG Live Verzuz Battle got postponed after Teddy experienced technical difficulties. Find out what happened, plus the endless memes that came from the failed attempt inside….

The highly anticipated R&B Battle between Teddy Riley & Babyface has been postponed once again. The first time it was delayed due to Babyface (and his family) being sick. He caught COVID-19 and wasn’t quite 100% for the first scheduled battle, so they postponed it.

Last night was supposed to be the night for the Instagram Live Verzuz Battle but, nope.

Let’s have some fun with it y’all..:)

A post shared by Kenny Edmonds (@babyface) on Apr 18, 2020 at 3:00pm PDT

The King of New Jack Swing had a set up like he was about to perform for a concert. And there wasn’t much social distancing going on. He had a whole production crew to accompany him for the live battle. Meanwhile, Babyface was sitting alone in his studio with earphones – chill AF. With 400,000 viewers tuned into the Live, Teddy just couldn’t get things straight on his end. He was having major issues with his audio. There were playback and echoes every time Teddy tried to play a track.

However, fans could hear Babyface just fine. His music played through the Live perfectly. The comments were lit up with jokes about the R&B OGs not being able to operate social media. Teddy is 53 and Babyface is 62 after celebrating a birthday last week. Like we said, Babyface had ZERO issues on his end.

The battle was supposed to start at 9pm, but by 10pm it still hadn’t started. A person from Teddy’s crew hopped on camera and told viewers to come back in 30 minutes while they worked out their technical difficulties.

Here’s some of what went down:

By that time, Babyface was over it and suggested the battle be postponed at a later time:

"I think that it’s only right that we postpone this thing until another time when there aren’t any technical difficulties, and everybody can hear the music the way it needs to be heard," he said.

Teddy Riley then posted a video to apologize for the audio issues while comparing the snafu to a boxing match:

Well, folks have been waiting for this matchup for a few weeks now and they wanted a show! Especially with us all being stuck in the house for over a month.

As you know, the Internet has ZERO chill, so the memes started right after Teddy ended his live and they are EPIC. Several celebrities also spoke out about the battle that never happened.

Twisted Insane & Charlie Ray – Up Late (The Gatekeeper And The Keymaster Album)

[Hook X2]
(Up late) That’s the only way to get it when you gotta make the product for the profit in ya pocket all day
But don’t get it fucked up – I am nothin’ like ya bitch, I’m from the bottom and I came a long way
In the beginnin’ wasn’t with it, now she hit me on my line like all the time and say she wanna come play
And you already know that I’mma run it, you can find me in her stomach, they know I be (up late)

[Verse 1: Twisted Insane]
Come one, come all, if you wanna ball, then come with me!
Oh shit, did the four fifth just fall out my Dickey?
They want me dead, but I send ’em all to come get me
I rise out my grave, hit ’em in the face with the fifty
I don’t really talk, I’m with the action – Jackson
Aired up, get ya hair cut like Toni Braxton
Run deep in the Blood gang, got blood stains on the floor
You all know I get ghost – on the cadillacin’
Run up, put the venom in ’em, goddamn
Coulda’ been a man in the mini-van
Pull up on ’em if a nigga really wanna touch my gangsta
Bust two from the sun-roof, pow-pow
Hit him in his tooth, doot doot doot
Give a nigga boost, one of the homies might shank ya
No love, too deep, on the creep right through the front door
With a black mask and a fat strap for the ones that be wolfin’
I don’t give passes, fuck that, I don’t need a Mac
I prefer take ’em in the back so he gets his ass whoopin’
Somebody is a victim, knock ’em out, the homies trippin’
Bitches know just how to pick ’em, babies, I ain’t sayin shit
Adios, so nigga sign the photo with you mafioso, make a post and point the finger, Brain gon’ put ’em in a ditch
Mmmm… You livin’ good but I’m in dungeons
You comfortable with the big gats, I’m straight with my gunmen
The Walking Dead – shoot me and I keep comin’
Some wish me ‘way, bet I always be slumpin’
Faces of death, hit ’em in the chest with they goodnight
Your bitch on my line, steady cryin’, she need good pipe
I be like, "I’m not try’na fuck with you" but then I be like, "Man fuck that, just come through, tonight!"
(Heh ha ha ha)
Bring three, I got one for the homie
Hit ’em up, man, come through, I got mo’ for sho’
Bang ’em on a late night, gotta hit ‘fo I [taste blood?]
Bust three mo’, then send-send that bitch out the do’

[Verse 2: C. Ray]
I go Brain
And roam with the hooligans who provide no names
Divide yo’ veins, fuck the world
I’ve been amongst your girl, now open wide yo’ legs
Eyes low, fuckin’ with that hydro, mane
So don’t you be lookin’ at me like I don’t blaze
Take you a look and see where the pyros stay
Just a couple of niggas who gon’ provide yo’ fades
Sign me up! For the [?] nigga, I been nuts
People been lookin’ at me like I give fucks
Levitate, but they try to run with the diamonds tucked
High, I’m up! Laughin’ at ’em, make comparison
With they tobacco to a hydro puff
Nigga, sci-fi with the rhyme cyanide, kill the vibe
Bye, night, feel it every time I cut
Ray is the name
You niggas should stay in your lane
Think I won’t swing ’cause I’m tame?!
I take me a drink and when everyone see what I
Do to you niggas gon’ think it’s a prank
Brain is the gang, makin’ that cake with Insane
But still comin’ straight for your chain
They go nuts, got so many of us, but y’all on that
Funny shit, we be up late for that change!
