Maxim announced Tey as its "Hot 100" issue cover star. It’s the first time a Black woman has received the honor and we’re totally here for it. Even thught it took umpteen years and a sudden interest in Black Lives.

Still, Tey is GORGEOUS and she deserves all of the praise – and not just for her looks because she’s much more than a pretty face.

“Somebody pinch me!!!!," Teyana wrote in the caption of her Maxim cover, shot by Gilles Bensimon.

“WOW…. Stepping back in front of the lens has been a journey of self-reflection and self-confidence,” the mom-of-two wrote.“Living up to [the] name and title of this shoot wholeheartedly made me nervous.”

The 30-year-old wife of Iman Shumpert surely didn’t show it. In the caption, she talked about how she pulled up on the photoshoot after dropping her eldest daughter, Junie, off at school and how her sweatpants and beanie made it in the shoot.

“Embrace and love yourselves for who [and] what you are because only the purest heart shines through,” she added.

Yes, Teyana in her regular everyday sweats and a skully slayed the Sexiest Woman Alive cover shoot and we stan!

Is there a new Hip Hop love connection between Diddy and Yung Miami? Sure looks like it.

Everyone trekked it to Atlanta to celebrate Quality Control Music honcho Pierre "Pee" Thomas‘ birthday as he hosted a star-studded black-tie affair last night. Hip Hop’s finest were in the building, including old school and new school acts.

There was some PDA action going on between Diddy and City Girls’ rapper Yung Miami, which sparked dating rumors. Oh?

The 51-year-old Hip Hop mogul and the 27-year-old rapper were pictured holding hands while walking down a staircase at the party, which you can check out above and below.

By now, they’ve seen the online chatter about a possible romantic situation between them, but neither of them have denied or confirmed it.

After calling it quits with Cassie in 2018, Diddy has seemingly been single. Menawhile Yung Miami (real name Caresha Brownlee) has been on-again, off-again with producer Southside. The twosome welcomed their daughter, Summer Miami, in October 2019. Maybe sis wants to level up. Who knows.

Are you here for a Diddy x Yung Miami situationship? Sound off in the comments.

Last night’s soirée was star-studded affiar which included appearances from T.I. & Tiny Harris, Teyana Taylor, Lil Baby, City Girls’ rapper JT, Gucci Mane & his wife Keyshia Ka’oir, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby’s on-again girlfriend Jayda Cheaves (peep them leaving together in the video), Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter, her mom Toya Johnson, "Married To Medicine" star Quad Webb-Lunceford and more.

#Coming2America Reactions: Wesley Snipes Steals The Show, Teyana Taylor SLAYS, Nomzamo Mbatha’s Bomb Breakout Role

Coming 2 America took us BACK to Zamunda & Queens for another round of laughs. Wesley Snipes was the film’s favorite, Teyana Taylor served up slayage and everyone’s talking about Nomzamo Mbatha’s breakout performance. More inside…

It’s here!

The long-awaited sequel to the hit 1988 original has dropped on Amazon Prime Video and everyone is talking about it on social media.

Coming 2 America served up all the nostalgic feels as several of the film’s actors returned to reprise their roles, including Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Garcelle Beauvais, Paul Bates, and Louie Anderson.

The star-studded cast also featured new faces, including Hollywood vet Wesley Snipes, singer/actress/dancer Teyana Taylor, “Supermarket Sweep” host Leslie Jones, “Power” star/R&B crooner Rotimi, "The Last O.G." star Tracy Morgan, comedian Michael Blackson, "Crashing" actor Jermaine Fowler, If Beale Street Could Talk actress KiKi Layne, and comedienne Luenell.

Eddie’s real-life daughter, Bella Murphy, played his on-screen daughter, Omma:

That’s Eddie’s real-life daughter Bella playing Akeem’s daughter Omma. Turns out perfect comedic timing runs in the (royal) family. #Coming2America pic.twitter.com/jPJjZsWtFK

— Prime Video (@PrimeVideo) March 6, 2021

It was like a family reunion with several new additions you didn’t mind coming over.

Not to drop any spoilers, but the first scene of the movie takes us to the wealthy African nation of Zamunda inside Prince Akeem’s (who eventually becomes king) massive royal palace.

Turning Rick Ross’ ATL home into Zamunda palace?

"He has a beautiful estate. It truly was a palace" – @TracyMorgan#NBA #NBATwitter #TheJump #Coming2America pic.twitter.com/Tmz79dQCQt

— The Jump on ESPN (@NBATheJump) March 3, 2021

Rapper Rick Ross opened the doors of his estate (that sits on 235 acres) in Fayetteville, Ga. to help bring the African nation to life. Much of the film was filmed in Atlanta and production needed a space big enough that could deliver African royalty through the screen. Sayless. Rozay’s 109-room palace that spans over 45,000 square-feet (previously owned by boxer Evander Holyfield) was the perfect location.

The MMG honcho made a cameo in the film as a soilder of General Izzi’s army.

WARNING! Mini-spoilers ahead!

It seems everyone’s favorite character was General Izzi, played by Wesley Snipes, who is Prince Akeem’s main rival in the film. He played the villian role very well and was very funny. Peep reactions below:

#Coming2America was good fun. Sure, it’s ripe w/ predictable storylines & dialogue, but if you enjoy the comedic antics of Eddie Murphy, Wesley Snipes, Arsenio Hall & Leslie Jones, there’s enjoyment to be found. The costumes should 100% get some awards recognition. pic.twitter.com/Zbufl6mzDf

Coming to America 2 is a good movie. Watch it. One thing we should appreciate is that we all have types of movies we watch. Coming to America 2 was hyped and it raised expectations from people. Watch it with an open mind. Some watch DC movies and to some those are not good at all

— Bula (@browb22) March 6, 2021

Overall, we enjoyed the film and we appreciated how the storylines and themes were "updated" to reflect our society now. If you haven’t yet, check out Coming 2 America steaming on Amazon Prime Video now. Tells us in the comments YOUR thoughts about the movie.

Teyana Taylor Says She Would Be HONORED To Play Lil Kim In Biopic After Kim Revealed She Only Wanted Tey To Portray Her

Lil Kim reveals the only person in the industry she wants to play her in a biopic would be Teyana Taylor. Naturally, Teyana – a huge Lil Kim fan – said she would be honored to do so. Peep their exchange inside…

With everyone getting a biopic these days there’s no surprise one would be done on one of the hottest female rappers in Hip Hop: Lil Kim.

While nothing is official and deets are scarce, Kim does have something in the works.

“I have a secret, but I can’t tell you,” she said during a video conference interview with ESSENCE. “It’s dealing with me and my life a little bit, kinda.”

We’ll get the full deets about the project by next month, according to Kimmy. While she didn’t elaborate on what she’s working on, the NYC raptress said she’s looking to produce both a movie and a documentary-style project about her life to put some of the rumors about her to rest.

“I want people to know the real Kim. All the other stories that everybody else tells, chile, don’t listen to it,” she said.

In 2009, Naturi Naughton portrayed Lil Kim in the Notorious B.I.G.’s biopic, Notorious and she was NOT happy about it. She made it known she didn’t like who played her and that she would have never approved. When asked who she would like to play her in her own biopic she said it would be multiple people because she would have to find the perfect actress for each stage of her life. As for who she would want to play her as a young adult, she chose triple threat Teyana Taylor.

“It can only be a girl that’s from the hood that I’m from,” she said. “I love Teyana, she’s my only other thought. There’s nobody else in the industry at all but Teyana. But, even before Teyana — I love Teyana, but she’s from Harlem –before Teyana, I would love to give some little girls from Brooklyn a chance so I can connect. Really connect.”

“I would go to Brooklyn and find a girl within that period that I feel represents Brooklyn, knows what it’s like to grow up in Brooklyn,” she said. “And then once I got in the movie and I get a little older, I would play myself from that stage. But from that point, I gotta go to Brooklyn and give some little girl from Brooklyn a chance to really, really show, I know who Lil Kim is for real.”

That would be dope. Peep the interview above.

Teyana – who is a huge Lil Kim fan – said she would be honored to play Kim in a biopic:

The couple says the reason that they signed on for the reality show is to be a positive symbol of black love.

“Not just black love, all love,” Teyana Taylor said. “It is to inspire all love period. There’s nothing more special than showing young folk that you could be in love and married.”
