DAYTIME DIVAS: Wendy Williams Wants Sit Down With Sherri Shepherd After Fat Joe Interview Drama, Demands $100M For Podcast Deal

Wendy Williams is ready to make her comeback. But first, she wants to chop it up with her replacement Sherri Shepherd after she responded to Wendy’s Fat Joe interview where she said she would not be watching her follow-up show. They should probably have a meeting since the “Wendy” staff wants the veteran daytime talk show host to come back for the season finale.

Also, Wendy is looking to make a $100 million move to the podcast world. Deets inside…

Wendy Williams would like to have a sit down with Sherri Shepherd to discuss some things following some social media drama that sparked after Wendy did an interview with Fat Joe.

“I have tons of support around me, and I am working on projects,” Wendy told Page Six. ”I would love the chance to actually speak with Sherri and sit down and meet.”

LaShawn Thomas, Wendy’s attorney, added the 57-year-old host has “no ill will” towards Sherri.

“Wendy requesting to have a sit-down with Sherri to have a meeting of the minds is the perfect solution as she has no ill will or intent,” LaShawn said. “Wendy is preparing to get her show back in motion.”

Which show? That has yet to be determined. As you know, Sherri permanently replaced Wendy after her long-running daytime talk show was canceled due to Wendy’s physical and mental health struggles. After guest hosting, Sherri landed her own self-titled show (with the same “Wendy” staff) that’s set to premiere this fall.

While chopping it up with Joe on IG Live, Wendy said she likes Sherri, but she will not be watching her show.

“I like her, but I won’t be watching her because I know what she’s going to be doing and that’s really not my thing,” Wendy said. “Anyway, but I love being on my own show and I love that people love to watch it all the time.”

During the interview, Wendy also talked about only having “$2” to her name and how she’s maintaining despite her not being able to access any of her money:

Sherri Shepherd said she watched Wendy’s interview with Fat Joe in an IG Live. And some folks feel she was being very shady towards the veteran talk show host.

“I did hear Wendy say she will not watch me on the new show. And that’s OK,” she said during an IG Live. “You know, I understand.”

“I’m truly concerned about her because I don’t feel there’s anybody over there protecting her, and it’s really hard when there’s no protection around you, and you just have people hanging on,” the former “The View” co-host said.

“She’s by herself. It’s not like she’s got her husband Kevin [Hunter Sr.],” she said. “She’s by herself. The only person that she has that’s taking care of her is her 21-year-old son Kevin Jr., and he’s 21. She’s not well. It’s just a lot going on in Wendy’s life,” she said.

— Virtual Celebrity News Network (@virtualcelebnew) May 7, 2022

Wendy’s rep – Shawn Zanotti – popped back at Sherri’s response:

“I personally feel that it is difficult to wish a person well, which Sherri did, while attempting to health-shame them at the same time, especially since Wendy was the one who created multiple platforms that gave Sherri several opportunities,” Shawn told Page Six in a statement. “Wendy is an icon and should be respected as such.”

Maybe they should have that sit down to has everything out since some of the “Wendy” staffers want the veteran host to at least return for the show’s season finale.

Page Six reports:

“There’s talk [of how to say goodbye] and a lot of people on staff feel like there should be a tribute to [Wendy] or some kind of farewell,” an insider revealed to Page Six. But, at the end of the day, “It’s her show and she’s not there for it,” they added.

The insider insists that staffers are angling for her to return for one last show because “they have all these fond memories.”

“People want her to come back… A lot of people — especially the mid and low-level producers — signed up for the job because of Wendy. It feels like it’s just going to end [without her]. It’s weird,” they said.

Meanwhile, another source told us that staffers are still traumatized over Williams’ allegedly erratic behavior in recent years.

“There have been days where people thought they wouldn’t have a job because she wouldn’t show up to work, so this idea that there’s some conundrum? No,” they said.

As for Wendy’s “comeback,” word on the curb is that she’s looking to make a splash in the podcast world. However, she wants big bucks to do so.

Sources told The Sun Wendy has received countless offers for a podcast ever since she stopped appearing on “The Wendy Williams Show” due to her ongoing personal issues.

They said Wendy would like the podcast to stream either on iHeart Radio or Spotify and since she’s a solid radio veteran, she believes she’s worth a big bag – like Joe Rogan, who signed a $100 million podcast contract with Spotify.

“She sees Joe Rogan has a $100million podcast deal, and now she wants that kind of money,” the source said.

Hmm…Wendy will likely have to prove she’s healthy and/or consistent enough to complete a daily or weekly show before they drop those millions.

On January 9th, almost 20 people, including 9 children, were killed in an apartment fire started by by a malfunctioning space heater inside a Bronx high-rise. Victims of the fire ranged in age from just 2 years old to 50. An additional 44 people were also injured.

“Smoke spread throughout the building, thus the tremendous loss of life and other people fighting for their lives,” said fire commissioner Daniel A. Nigro.

After learning about the fire, Cardi B – who is from the Bronx – decided she wanted to help her community. She teamed with Mayor’s Fund’s Bronx Fire Relief Fund to pay for the funerals of all the deceased victims. She’ll also help cover repatriation expenses, as some victims will be buried in the Gambia, a country in West Africa.

In a statement, the “WAP” raptress – who is always reppin’ her hood – said:

”I’m extremely proud to be from the Bronx and I have lots of family and friends who live and work there still. So, when I heard about the fire and all of the victims, I knew I needed to do something to help."

”I cannot begin to imagine the pain and anguish that the families of the victims are experiencing, but I hope that not having to worry about the costs associated with burying their loved ones will help as they move forward and heal," she continued.

”I send my prayers and condolences to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy."

The 17 victims include four members of the Drammeh family — Fatoumata Drammeh, 50; Foutmala Drammeh, 21; Muhammed Drammeh, 12; and Nyumaaisha Drammeh, 19, according to PEOPLE.

Additional victims include Sera Janneh, 27; Seydou Toure, 12; Haouwa Mahamadou, 5; Haji Dukary, 49; Haja Dukureh, 37; Mustapha Dukureh, 12; Mariam Dukureh, 11; Fatoumata Dukureh, 5; Omar Jambang, 6; Fatoumata Tunkara, 43; Isatou Jabbie, 31; Hagi Jawara, 47 and 2-year-old Ousmane Konteh.

It’s reported the Red Cross is also helping victims of the fire.

Rapper Fat Joe is also helping to assist the Bronx fire victims, leading the charge in donations. The “Lean Back” rapper just hit the $1 million mark to help the families pay for furniture, pay bills and more. Fat Joe called up his celeb friends and asked them to pitch in to help the victims and their families.

”I’m just almost like a messenger, a liaison. I reached out to all of my buddies in the music industry. Jay-Z gave a huge amount of money. Jack Dorsey from Twitter – just a bunch of my friends – DJ Khaled as you see. We all came together. We raised over $1 million in a day and we have so much more to raise because these people have real, real life long issues – a whole list of issues,” he said.

Fat Joe also teamed up with the Mayor’s Fund to make sure the victims actually get the money donated.  Peep the clip above.

Prayers to all the families affected by this unfortunate tragedy.

Ashanti Reveals What Her Ex-Nelly Whispered In Her Ear During VERZUZ Battle, Says Run-In Was A ‘Little Awkward’

We all saw that random moment when Nelly jetted across the stage to hug his ex-Ashanti and whisper in her ear during the Ja Rule vs. Fat Joe VERZUZ Battle.

Now, Ashanti is sharing what he said during the “little awkward” moment…

Ashanti and Nelly were one of Hip Hop’s most-loved couples during the early 2000s. They first met in 2003 at a Grammy Awards press conference. Then, dating rumors began shortly after. There was even marriage talk at one point during their decade long relationship, however, they never made it down the aisle. They called it quits in 2013.

Since then, they’ve gone their separate ways.

Ashanti has been living her very best life over the years. She’s glowing these days with tons of amazing things coming down the pipeline. Sis has been out in these streets, touring with Omarion and Bow Wow on the Millennium Tour, jetting off to the islands, slaying birthday parties and more.

The Grammy Award winning singer was front and center to support her Murda Inc. homie Ja Rule during his VERZUZ Battle with Fat Joe. The R&B singer was minding her business on stage before her ex-Nelly made a viral moment.

The Country Grammar” rapper saw Ashanti looking good across the stage and made a beeline to her with his arms extended as if he wanted a hug. He leaned in for a hug and whispered something in her ear. Check it:

The former Murda Inc. First Lady sat down to chop it up with Power 105’s Angie Martinez and the radio host didn’t waste any time to ask her about the viral moment with her ex.

"It was very unexpected," she said. "I hadn’t seen him in, like, six years. Spoken or seen. It was a little awkward!"

So, what did Nelly whisper in her ear?

"You know what the crazy part is, he didn’t say anything," she explained. "He didn’t say anything. First of all, I didn’t know he was going to be there. I told Joe, like, ‘Joe, why didn’t you tell me he was gonna be here?’ He was like, ‘Sis, I know, it’s terrible! I couldn’t risk you not coming if you knew he was gonna be there,” she said impersonating Joe perfectly.

Ashanti went on to reveal she’s currently in a relationship with someone, but she’s keeping it “low and private.” She said “some of us” might know her boyfriend, but she’s not revealing who he is.

After several failed relationships, Ashanti said she hopes she gets it right this time around, but admitted it’s a lot balancing her career, personal and love life.

As for her career, she’s currently on your, she has book coming out, she’s gearing up to executive produce another film and she’ll be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Not only that, she plans on re-recording her self-titled debut album. The reason? She said she wants to show the business side of ownership and how important it is to “own.” With her first album contract, she’s allowed to re-record it and everything purchased from that moment on, she owns.

There may be some new direction on the album, but she confirmed she’s not taking Ja off any records. If anything, she said she’ll “add some sauce” to records for the re-record. While she said Ja pretty much supports her new endeavors, she hinted “the other guy” (*coughs* Irv Gotti *coughs*) likely isn’t happy about it.

Irv Gotti – who produced most of her early records – chimed in with his issue with her re-recording her album, saying she’s trying to "f over his masters he owns". It sounds like he’d rather flex owning something of hers than her wanting to own something of hers as well.

Also, the singer talked about praying with late rapper DMX, catching COVID-19 (she caught it from a family member) traveling the world, how she decides if she’ll clear a sample, and more. Ashanti was joined by her sister, Shia, where she talked about what it was like growing us as Ashanti’s little sister. She also reflected on a brutal domestic violence attack where her jaw was broken.

Fat Joe Apologizes To Lil Mo & Vita For Calling Them ‘Dusty B*tches’ During VERZUZ Battle With Ja Rule + Remy Ma Enters The Chat

Fat Joe is apologizing for comments he made during his VERZUZ Battle against Ja Rule. While trying to pop back at Ja, he came for Lil Mo and Vita, dubbing them "dusty b*tches."

Mo posted he should issue an apology and then Remy Ma joined the chat. More inside…

Things got heated during Fat Joe‘s VERZUZ Battle with Ja Rule when he threw out that "dusty b*tches" comment aimed at singer Lil Mo and raptress Vita.

Last night, the two New York rappers pulled out all of their biggest hits. They even invited several of their biggest collaborators to join them for the battle, including Nelly, Ashanti, Remy Ma and more.

After Ja performed "Put It On Me" featuring Lil Mo and Vita, Fat Joe followed up with some disrespectful commentary aimed at the two ladies.

"Oh, them dusty b*tches," Joe said about Lil Mo and Vita. "You had to go to the crack house to find them b*tches."

Just…wow.

Later, Ja called Joe out for disrespecting the ladies. Check it below:

After Joe started to receive backlash online for his comments, he hopped on Twitter to apologize:

“Shout to the ladies very sorry if I disrespected,” he tweeted. “I love Vida and Lil Moe I’m super sorry love my sisters.”

That wasn’t enough for Mo. She hopped on Instagram to clap back at Joe’s comments.

"I need EVERYONE to tell @Fatjoe he owes A genuine Apology," she wrote. "I don’t Live in A #CrackHouse , I’m Not A #Bxtch nor am I Dusty!!! #StreetCODE Women & Children is off limits #Disappointed #Legend"

The "Lean Back" rapper hopped in her comments to apologize again:

Remy Ma – who also performed during the VERZUZ – hopped in Mo’s comments to defend her "brother" Fat Joe.

"@thelilmoshow Stop it Mo, you know damn well Joe ain’t on it like that. First of all …you, V, Shanti- or nobody had even come out yet- when him and Ja was going back & forth; we didn’t know who was in the back. Second… I was in the car when you walked thru the parking lot and he hugged you, & showed mad love as usual…no need for your followers to tell him anything, as someone that personally knows you I’m sorry you were offended – you can call my phone ; matter fact I’m gonna dm you my number in case you don’t have it anymore – but also as someone that personally knows Joe he was not intentionally trying to hurt anyone- it was a battle between friends that are like family, sidebar: #streetcode don’t do social media"

Sheesh.

Vita said she was wondering why Joe was issuing an apology to her because she was in the dressing room when he made those comments:

That wasn’t all of the foolery that went down during the battle…

Fat Joe, DJ Khaled & Amorphous – Sunshine (The Light) Lyrics

Play this song

[Intro: Fat Joe]
(Cool N Dre)
It’s 2021
Time to bring the light in
We gon’ bring the light in, you know?
DJ Khaled, I see you
Cool N Dre, I see you
Pristine Jewelers in the building
L Boogie, Lorena, Terell, the flyest
Let’s get it

[Chorus: Rihanna & Fat Joe]
Kiss it, kiss it better, baby
Been waitin’ on that sunshine, boy
I think I need that back
Can’t do it like that
No one else gon’ get it like that
So why argue? You yell, but you take me back
Who cares, when it feels like crack? (Uh)
Boy, ya know that you always do it right (Yeah)

[Verse 1: Fat Joe, Rihanna & DJ Khaled]
She want that old thing back
Pretty young thing want that old G crack
Straight savage when I got my Fenty on
Do thе D’USSÉ with a touch of DeLeón (Uh)
She got a man and hе stuck in the feds
Said he gon’ kill me ’cause she up in my bed
We wear chains and it’s like the narcs (Kiss it, kiss it)
Only G7s when the flights depart
Stash pesos in Turks and Caicos
Dapper Dan Don, the first to break those
Now back to Caicos
Throw your Rollies in the sky, my guys’ll take those
Lower East Side, I’m up in NY
See me on the floor with Obi courtside
Baddies on deck, you know I’m lovin’ ’em (Kiss it, kiss it better, baby)
Still in a meetin’ with Khaled (Another one)

[Chorus: Rihanna & Fat Joe]
Been waitin’ on that sunshine, boy
I think I need that back
Can’t do it like that
No one else gon’ get it like that
So why argue? You yell, but you take me back
Who cares, when it feels like crack?
Boy, ya know that you always do it right (Yeah, uh)

[Verse 2: Fat Joe]
Crack man and I’m out of the game
Silk shirts and a couple of chains
I go deeper and deeper
Sign the prenup, you know it’s cheaper to keep her
Croc Birkin, a two-seater
Put you in Milan, you can kick your feet up
Take care, pinkie ring on the don, I told her

[Chorus: Rihanna]
Kiss it, kiss it better, baby
Been waitin’ on that sunshine, boy
I think I need that back
Can’t do it like that
No one else gon’ get it like that
So why argue? You yell, but you take me back
Who cares, when it feels like crack?
Boy, ya know that you always do it right

[Outro: Luther Vandross & Rihanna]
I can’t fool myself, I don’t want nobody else to ever love me
Kiss it, kiss it
I can’t fool myself, I don’t want nobody else to ever love me
You are my shining star, my guiding light, my love fantasy

Wyclef Jean – The Ring (J’ouvert Deluxe Edition Album)

[Intro]
It’s been 7 years, man. I left at the height of my career, man and I’m coming back. It’s like I’m starting all over again. It don’t matter what I did before, man. This the music business, man. You’re only as hot as your last hit. Everybody like, "Yo, can he get another ring?"

[Hook]
100 million records, all the work I put in
All they wanna know is will I get another ring, yeah
Will I get another win
All they wanna know is will I get another ring

[Verse 2]
The smile in my face, behind my back, they hate us
But like Bernie Mac said, I ain’t scared of you motherfuckers
Little Haiti to Sicily, Big Pun, he was a friend to me
Fat Joe, he called me literally, put me on a track instantly
Caribbean connection put me all the way up
What goes up must go down, so Thugga picked me up
Ay, that’s what I call that street cred
Take your chance in the lobby, you gon’ meet those old dreads
Chef [?], me and Khaled go back
So far back, boy shottas, man, he had a 6 pack
And I’m back on the tribe on a quest to go harder
So hard, you gon’ think I’m all 3 Carters
Why haters wanna doubt that I’m Luke with the Force
Man, they kids got the scores, screamin’ too much hot sauce

[Hook]
100 million records, all the work I put in
All they wanna know is will I get another ring, yeah
Will I get another win
All they wanna know is will I get another ring

[Verse 2]
A And the A stand for Alpha and Omega
B And the B stand for Bury You, that’s what I’m known to do to rappers
C C stands for Chance, once you take, regard your shit
DEF, is the squad, boy, read my lips
GH, General from Haiti, make my day
I stood in my jeans, in front of that ‘K’
And for me to take a L, it’s gon’ take MN
What’s that? Mother Nature with them strong winds
And oh, my Peace Productions like the Q
As in Quincy when he did that Thriller, Michael Jackson blew
And this is who we are, STU
Abbreviation for the studio, I kill it in the booth
And the V, be very careful when you watchin’ shottas
The W could turn to her and that’s murder for hire
By the window, light X, don’t ask why
I ain’t takin’ no Zs ’cause the clan’s outside

[Hook]
100 million records, all the work I put in
All they wanna know is will I get another ring, yeah
Will I get another win
All they wanna know is will I get another ring

[Verse 3]
Bean me up Scottie, I’m on that antidote
That Broccoli D.R.A.M gave me got me movin’ slow mo’
This big, I’m countin’ my blessings like I’m Sean
See the Future with my Jimmy Hendrix shades on
Haters wanna doubt and thought that I forgot my scales
That’s like I am Mike forgettin’ he trainin’ [?]
Vic hit me on the Jag, told me he mad
Wiz Khalifa paper plane’ll have you feel glad

[Hook]
100 million records, all the work I put in
All they wanna know is will I get another ring, yeah
Do I rap or will I sing?
All they wanna know is will I get another ring
Oh, I’ma get another ring
Oh, I’ma get another ring
From my mouth to God, aye
We gon’ get another ring
We gon’ get another ring
I’ma get another win
We gon’ get another ring
