Taylor Townsend Calls Out U.S. Tennis Association For ‘Fatphobia’ – ‘They Took Away My Dream, Or At Least They Tried’

Tennis star Taylor Townsend opens up about how she has dealt with extreme sexism, racism and harsh criticism for being "too big." Now, she’s sharing how the U.S. Tennis Association tried to take her dream right from under her for what she considers to be "fatphobia."

Read her heartfelt story inside…

Growing up black and female in America is … hard. It gets harder when a young, black female decides to participate in a sport which has historically been deemed as a "white man’s sport."

These days, young, black women get to see people who look like them at the top level of athleticism in tennis with champs like Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka, CoCo Gauff and more burning up the tennis courts.

Taylor Townsend – who recently celebrated her first Mother’s Day – wrote a piece for The Player’s Tribune where she opened up about how she has been mistreated in the tennis world. Even at the age of 11, folks were coming for her over her size and race.

I mean, when me and my big sister, Symone, started having success….. how do you think those parents reacted to these two little Black girls taking over tennis in Georgia, of all places?

Lemme tell you: People had a lot of issues with that. Oh, they made that known.

It’s not like anyone was throwing things at us on the court or anything. No one was outwardly saying anything like racist racist. But even still, man. When you walk into a room, or when you’re in a big crowd….. you know. You feel it.

It felt like I was getting criticism that other players weren’t getting. Parents started complaining before every match, coming out with all these excuses about why I shouldn’t be playing against their kids and whatnot. Sometimes they’d go to the tournament director about me, asking for my birth certificate. No — for real!! They’d ask for my birth certificate.

Parents would be out there, like, “Oh, no, she can’t be 11. She’s too big. She’s too developed.”

Despite such criticism, she continued to play her best and she ended up becoming the number one junior girl’s tennis player at age 16 in 2012.

The 25-year-old candidly explained how the U.S. Tennis Association allegedly tried to end her career over her weight, which she dubbed "fatphobia."

That’s where this story starts. I’m 16, I’m coming off some great results, and I’m only a few weeks from the U.S. Open.

And then…….. I get this phone call.

It was an official from the USTA. (That’s like being called to the principal’s office.) They said, “Taylor, you need to come to Florida — now. We’re putting you on an eight-week block of fitness training.”

I didn’t even have to do the math. I heard “eight weeks” and my stomach just dropped.

Eight weeks meant missing the U.S. Open.

Now, this wasn’t the first time my fitness had come up. It was something I’d been working on with my coaches….. and I’ll be the first to admit that conditioning wasn’t an area of strength for me that summer. But I was still getting results where it mattered most, you know what I mean?? 2012 Australian Open juniors in singles and doubles. 2012 Wimbledon juniors in doubles. I was still winning grand slams.

It was frustrating!! Like, here I was, flying back to Florida to start my fitness “hiatus” — while all the other juniors I knew (girls I was ranked higher than) were on their way to New York to start getting ready for the Open.

During her fitness training hiatus, Taylor was hit with another blow.

My blood work came back showing that I was anemic. As in — I’d been under serious cardiovascular stress for who knows how long. I’d been playing sick, man. That’s what had been going on with me. Figuring that out was scary….. but in a way, it was also a relief at the same time??

Because it was kind of just like — okay, now we know. It’s not a fitness thing. It’s a health thing. And now we’re aware of it, and we’re about to take care of it, and….. yeah, I’ll say it: Now I can go to the Open.

They send me to a hematologist, and I ask him straight up like, ‘What’s gonna make me feel good enough to play in 17 days?’ He then explains this process of liquid iron injections. He said, ‘You’re going to feel like superwoman.’ So I called up the folks at USTA and let them know what the hematologist said. Told them I was good to go for New York. Put me in the juniors draw, put me in the main draw, put me in doubles, singles, sign me up, the whole deal.

Sadly, the USTA still told her "no" and that she "wasn’t fit to play" at the US Open. The decision left her hurt and she felt defeated. Considering her ranking, she thought that would mean something, but she learned the hard way it didn’t when you look like her.

It worked the way things usually work in a country that hates fat Black women.

I don’t think that’s a controversial opinion, by the way. To me, America hating fat Black women — it’s just part of life. It’s in the culture. It’s in the health-care system. You see it in Hollywood, you see it in sports. You don’t have to look around very hard. It’s everywhere.

And it’s especially everywhere in the world of tennis. I mean, think about it: They didn’t just alienate me for not fitting the “mold” of what a tennis player should look like — they punished me. They took away something I’d earned.

I was fat, and I was Black, so they took away my dream. Or at least they tried.”

Taylor went to the tournament anyway WITHOUT the support from the association where her mother had to pay for her travel expenses. That year, Taylor won the junior doubles title and made her way to the quarterfinals in the singles division. Woot! During her post game interview, reporters asked her why she wasn’t playing with the pros, so she decided to tell her truth.

I decided I wasn’t gonna let myself be embarrassed anymore — I wasn’t gonna let myself be humiliated by this rich, white tennis world that I had spent my entire childhood scraping and crawling and bending over backwards to fit into.

I took a deep breath….. and aired everything out to the press. I gave them the real. Told them what actually happened.

I spoke my truth.

The young tennis star was punished as a result.

But it turns out that 16-year-old Black girls can’t take public shots at the biggest organization in American tennis and then simply go back to their business.

Reporters started coming around for interviews. USTA officials came out to “clear things up.” (Translation: They basically denied all of it.) Somehow they got my mom involved. It’s like stuff just kept spiraling out of control. Like it went from not a thing, to barely a thing, to a THING, to a situation, to almost this like National Incident, so damn fast.

And it sucks, man, because I wasn’t asking for a fight. Like, my God — I wasn’t looking for beef with the freaking USTA. People understand that, right?? I wasn’t trying to “grab the spotlight,” or “put the whole system on trial,” or represent this or that.

I was just trying to speak my truth.

That’s it.

All I wanted — pretty much all I ever wanted, my whole life — was to play tennis.

As a result of the media drama, the Chi-town native said it took a toll on her mental health, which ultimately led to her leaving the association. Sounds like something similar to what Naomi Osaka is currently going through.

Now, Taylor is caring for her baby boy, Aydn Aubrey Johnson. Entering motherhood gave her a new outlook on life and made her realize she’s not alone in her story.

But on the other side of the coin, there’s also hundreds (thousands?!) of stories you’ll probably never even hear about, of Black girls who just didn’t get a shot. Whether that’s because of money….. or racism….. or lack of support….. or gatekeeping bullsh*t….. or because the system just kind of failed them, the way it fails so many Black women, all the f*cking time….. and whether their dream ended in the pros, or in college, or in high school or grade school or — real talk — maybe they never got to pick up a racket at all. There’s just got to be so many stories out there of Black women that never got their chance.

Just, WOW. She endured so much, yet kept fighting and we stan for that! We’re glad she’s sharing her truth again amid the drama that’s going on with Naomi. The more these ladies speak out, the more pressure put on the USTA!

Naomi Osaka Drops Out Of German Open, Which Hints She May Not Compete At Wimbledon

Tennis star Naomi Osaka has dropped out of the German Open before its start after withdrawing from the French Open. Does that mean she will not appear at Wimbledon? Possibly. More inside…

A week after withdrawing from the French Open to protect her mental health, tennis star Naomi Osaka has now dropped out of the German Open (also known as the Berlin WTA 5000), which is set to begin July 14th.

“We have received notification Naomi Osaka cannot start in Berlin. After consulting her management, she will take a break," said an official from the Berlin WTA 5000 grass-court tournament.

It’s unclear when she’s set to hit the court again.

"Osaka has not revealed when she plans to play next, casting doubt on her participation at the Wimbledon Grand Slam, which starts on June 28, and the Tokyo Olympics next month.”

The German Open is considered a "warm-up" for Wimbledon because it’s played on grass. So, does that mean the 23-year-old four-time Grand Slam winner will NOT appear at Wimbledon this year? It’s unclear. But not all champs need the warm up. Wimbledon begins Monday, June 28th.

"I’ve often felt that people have no regard for athletes’ mental health and this rings true whenever I see a press conference or partake in one," Naomi wrote.

The No. 2 ranked tennis player – who is the highest paid female athlete – made headlines when she announced she was boycotting media interviews during the Roland-Garros/French Open last month. She made the decision to protect her mental health. In her announcement, she noted that not enough was being done to prioritize the mental wellbeing of competitive athletes, which many people agreed with.

The French Open fined her $15,000 for sitting out on the required press conferences. Soon after, she withdrew from the competition altogether.

Big brands like Mastercard and Nike (who are also her sponsers) along with famed actors Will Smith & Viola Davis spoke out in her defense:

As a Mastercard Ambassador, Naomi Osaka’s decision reminds us all how important it is to prioritize personal health and well-being. We support her and admire her courage to address important issues, both on and off the court.

— Mastercard News (@MastercardNews) June 1, 2021

"Our thoughts are with Naomi. We support her and recognize her courage in sharing her own mental health experience," Nike said.

It’ll be interesting to see the impact her withdrawal has on ticket sales being that she brings a lot of viewers when she plays. Hopefully, her actions will force them to make the changes she’s calling for.

Erica Mena Responds To Estranged Husband Safaree Samuels’ Court DEMAND For Joint Custody & To Be Present For Child’s Birth

Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels are still feuding through headlines as they fight over custody in their divorce. Apparently, Safaree is getting the courts involved to ensure he’s present for the birth of their second child together since he believes Erica will not allow him there for the delivery.

Find out her response and more inside…

This divorce is getting nasty.

"Love & Hip Hop” stars Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels are back to fighting in the media. Could it be for a storyline? Possibly. The couple has pulled breakup stunts like this before. However, this time, real paperwork has been filed, so it could be signs that they’re really going to end things foreal this time.

A post shared by Erica Mena (@iamerica_mena)

Recently, Safaree filed new paperwork in court to demand that he is allowed for the delivery of their 2nd child together. Erica is set to give birth to their second child in July and he wants to make sure nothing gets in the way of him being there when the baby is born.

In the docs, Safaree makes it clear he wants to witness his child’s birth, but firmly believes the only way he can assure that happens is for the court to step in and force Erica to allow it.

Obviously, he’s afraid she’ll freeze him out, if given the chance.

Once the report started making its rounds online, a very pregnant Erica hopped on social media to react:

“Here I go getting dragged in the media and none of y’all even know the real story,” she wrote on IG. “Let me be pregnant and get through this time in peace.”

Last month, Erica filed for divorce from Safaree less than two years after their huge made-for-tv wedding. The reality couple tied the knot in October 2019. The couple is currently awaiting the arrival of their second child together. It’ll be Erica’s third as she has a son, King, from a previous relationship.

In the divorce filing, Erica has requested primary custody of their daughter, Safire, and their unborn child. She will not get it without a fight. Safaree is requesting joint legal custody, which means he’ll get a say in parenting decisions for their kids. He also reportedly wants consistent and uninterrupted parenting and visitation with his kids, which he feels would be in the best interest of the kids.

TMZ reports:

As far as Erica’s request to have exclusive use to the home they currently share … Safaree seems open to it if he can be removed from any liability involving the property through a refinancing of the mortgage … and assuming he gets his cut of any equity in the property.

Safaree also wants to maintain exclusive possession of their individual vehicles, and be allowed to maintain all personal property acquired during the marriage individually. As far as alimony goes … he wants the court to deny her any, and he wants the court to determine any child support obligations for them.

It appears "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Bambi – who’s currently pregnant & celebrated a joint baby shower with her friend Erica – seems to defending her friend. She posted a subliminal on her IG Stories about not wanting people that don’t like you in the delivery room with you.

In the meantime…

Safaree linked up with "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Spice to show her support.

At this point, do you think Safaree & Erica are REALLY going to call it quits? Or is this simply "We’re Breaking Up 5.0?"

BACK TO WORK: Here’s The First Look At Halle Bailey As Ariel For Disney’s Live-Action ‘The Little Mermaid’

For the first time, Halle Bailey is seen Ariel as she prepares to wow us all in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. See the beach shots, plus more details about the film inside…

Production for Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid was put on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With restrictions lifting across the globe due to vaccine numbers rising, The Little Mermaid cast and crew are back to work in Italy.

Singer Halle Bailey – from the super talented R&B duo Chloe & Halle – was chosen to play Ariel, the role every young "It Girl" in Hollywood was vying for a few years ago. This this will mark the "Grown-ish" star’s feature film debut and we’re excited to see her flex her acting AND singing skills in an iconic role many of us loved as kids.

In the pictures, Halle is seen wearing a wetsuit and a mermaid tail while on the beach with her co-star Jonah Hauer-King (who will play Prince Eric), leading fans to believe the cast is currently in rehearsals. It appears the actors could have been portraying the scene when Ariel and Prince Eric first met on the beach.

Joining Halle are Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, and Emily Coates as an unknown character. There’s speculation Emily will play Vanessa – the human form version of Ursula.

The Little Mermaid remake will incorporate original songs from the 1989 animated hit as well as new tunes from original composer Alan Menken and “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. Miranda is also producing the film along with the film’s director Rob Marshall, Marc Platt and John DeLuca.

We don’t have an official premiere date, but when we do, we will surely let you know! We can’t WAIT to hear Halle’s vocals on "Part of Your World," if the song makes the cut for the remake.

In between filming, the 21-year-old singer/actress has been feasting on some good eats while serving lewks:

POST-PRISON LIFE: Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick ENGAGED To Be Married, Leaving Politics To Become A Preacher

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is embracing his freedom months after being released from prison earlier this year. He’s now engaged to be married again and he says he’s leaving politics for the pulpit.

More inside…

It appears former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is settling into everyday life months after his prison release.

The 51-year-old is entering a new phase in his life where he plans to remarry. Not only that, he’s leaving politics for the pulpit. In an interview with Deadline Detroit, Kwame revealed he’s leaving politics for good to become a preacher.

"I know that’s what I’m supposed to be doing," he said about his ministry plans. "I can’t imagine doing anything else for the rest of my life."

In 2013, Kwame – who was mayor from 2002 – 2008 – was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison after he was hit with 24 charges that included mail fraud, wire fraud, and racketeering. He initially faced 30 counts, but he was found guilty on only 24 counts. The former mayor was incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Oakdale, Louisiana.

Kwame Kilpatrick is set to preach at two Detroit churches this Sunday. The first one at 8:30 a.m. will be pre-recorded.

"So it’s going to be my hometown debut," he said. "This is the first time that I’ve done anything public since getting out of prison."

Thank You To The Supporters! We couldn’t of done it without you! #KwameFree

— Kwame Kilpatrick (@JusticeForKwame) January 20, 2021

In January 2021, President Donald Trump commuted his sentence and he was released.

Right now, he’s living in the Atlanta area, changing careers to become a preacher, and he’s engaged to be married to a Detroit woman. The couple recently took engagement photos, which his photographer, Nicole Ashley Allen, posted on her social media:

Kwame didn’t want to say much about his new bride in the interview. However, he did touch on his relationship with his ex-wife/mother of his children Carlita Kilpatrick:

"We stopped having regular communications years ago," Kwame said about his relationship with his ex-wife. "The divorce was after a long season of separation. But there’s no bad blood. I got out, I talked to her a couple of times. She has her life and I have mine. I told her if she ever gets married again she can bring her funny-looking husband over to the house and we can have dinner."

It’s weird.
Every time I see this lady. The first thing pops in my head is Kwame Kilpatrick ex-wife Carlita. pic.twitter.com/GsDjUIZK3y

— JohnDB2 (@thoughtmanifest) February 15, 2021

In 2018, Kwame took to Facebook to announce he and Carlita were getting a divorce as he came clean about cheating on her with a longtime affair (and reportedly plenty other women).

"The great fire started when I broke and forsook my marriage vows," he wrote about an affair that happened in 2008.

"On January 24, 2008, the revelation of an extra-marital affair, through public release of my personal text messages, was plastered across newspapers throughout the United States of America. The "secrets" about the relationship with my friend and Chief of Staff; Christine Beatty, was no longer hidden. The specific words describing the torrid, passionate, and intimate moments of that relationship was in the public sphere for all to see. This was the space that many hateful forces used to employ strategies of unprecedented government intrusions, selective and malicious prosecutions against me, that would last for the next 10-years. These targeted campaigns of evil would cause great brokenness and defeat, separation and distance, sadness and depression, anger and bitterness, even bondage and incarceration."

Check out his divorce announcement below:

In the post-prison interview, Kwame said he has no plans on going back to Detroit:

"No. I had no plans to come back to Detroit, except to say hi to my family, eat a couple pieces of food and pie, and leave. But, you know, I just love the people in the city of Detroit. I mean, no matter how much I try to say, I’m not going back to Detroit, that’s my hometown. I talked to Mike Duggan recently and I told him how well I thought he was doing. I thought the city looked good. I didn’t want to be in the city and there’d be whispers about politics. So I’m going to say this now, I’m not running for anything. I believe I’ve been put in a completely different lane.

"I rode down Woodward. I think it looks good. But it wasn’t the look of the city that really got me. It was the people. I went to a couple of stores just to buy some water. There’s nothing like the energy and spirit of a Detroiter."

New Utah Jazz Owner Dwyane Wade Coaches Donovan Mitchell From The Sidelines During Playoff Game – ‘I’m Excited About Giving Back’

New Utah Jazz minority owner Dwyane Wade is sharing his expertise with the younger generation of ballers. Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell served up one of his best playoff performances thanks to some coaching from retired NBA baller D. Wade.

Deets on how D. Wade helped the Jazz secure Game 1 from the sidelines inside…

Life after the NBA is still all about the NBA for Dwyane Wade.

It’s been a successful year for D. Wade as he became a minority owner of the Utah Jazz. And not only is her part owner, he’s on the sidelines giving real-time coaching gems while sitting next to his wife, Gabrielle Union.

It appears D. Wade’s guidance is helping. Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell served up one of his best playoff performances in Game 1 as he and his team went up against the LA Clippers…and won. The final score was 112 – 109. So, it seems D. Wade’s presence at games is major key for the team.

After the game, Donovan Mitchell talked about being grateful to have D. Wade on the sidelines to help guide him:

"It’s great to have someone that I call my brother sitting courtside, being part of this organization just trying to help me out and find ways to improve and not just for myself but finding ways with the team," Donovan said.

It was a historic night for Donovan as it marked his fourth 40-point playoff game, tying him with Jazz legend Karl Malone for the most in franchise history. Sweet.

D. Wade 2.0?

In a recent piece for GQ, the NBA Finals MVP shared how he’s excited about giving back to the younger generation of players, including his "little brother" Donovan Mitchell.

"That’s my little brother. I’ve definitely taken a big brother role in his life. To have that relationship with him and to know it’s going to continue, it feels good. It feels right. It’s so cool, man. I get to continue to impart my knowledge of the game to him. He’s already 24 years old and he’s got a lot more growth to do and he’s already a critical player in our league. So, I’m excited about giving back whatever I’ve learned to him so his career will be greater than mine ever was. And that’s the goal, you’ve got to make sure the generations to come are greater. Right? That’s how the game moves forward."

Gotta love it.

The future Hall of Famer also addressed crazed fans’ actions, which some say are rooted in racism:

GQ: You said yourself that there aren’t that many Black people in Salt Lake City. We’ve recently seen these racist fan reactions coming from places like Philly, New York, Boston and Salt Lake. Ja Morant called what happened to his family when the Grizzlies played the Jazz in the first round of the playoffs “inappropriate shit.” What do you make of the last three years of public dissension at NBA games, which dates back to an altercation between Russell Westbrook and a Utah fan in 2019?

D. Wade: Every arena has a small group of people who get a little bit unruly, who get a little bit too much into the game. It is in every arena. And I’ve played in every arena, so I know it’s in every arena. It’s unfortunate, man. Basketball is different without fans, and now that fans are back in the building, it feels like basketball again. And we’re having these situations in different arenas. It shows you that a lot of people are coming out of caged-up situations. Been in the house, been locked away. People gotta get the rules again. You gotta get back to how life should work. And a lot of people are crossing that line. And it’s unfortunate.

When I was a player, fans said stuff to me and I said stuff back to them. Let’s keep it like that. But it’s getting to a place where….throwing stuff on people? It’s getting unruly. You can talk back and forth, that’s a part of the game. Talk to people on the sidelines, talk to other teams. But when you start doing stuff like throwing things at guys, that’s when the disrespect really comes in. The NBA has to continue to do a good job, if they can, in making sure this is a secure place for the players and the fans as well.

Simone Biles proves – yet again – why she’s the Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T.). The 24-year-old just won her 7th U.S. Gymnastics title ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. Celebrate with the GOAT inside…

Simone Biles flipped and tumbled her way to a record seventh U.S. Gymnastics title on Sunday in Fort Worth, TX. And she made it look effortless.

The 24-year-old five-time Olympic medalist pushed her way up to a score of 119.650. And her floor routine certainly helped to get her there. Flexing her skills to a song from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, the bomb gymnast included a "never-been-done-before" move called "The Biles."

Of course, she nailed it.

The gymnast blueprint in action.

The Houston native surpassed Clara Schroth Lomady’s previous record of six, solidifying why she’s at the top of her sport. Simone is now tied with Alfred Jochim for the most titles won by ANY American. We love how she’s dominating the sport and letting folks know she’s going to push boundaries as an athlete because, she can.

Watch more from her performances below:

Last month, Simone – who is the most decorated American gymnast in history – became the FIRST woman to land a Yurchenko double pike in competition at the U.S. Classic in Indianapolis.

During her performance, she rocked a white leotard which featured a GOAT made out of rhinestones. Her fans have since named it "Goldie."

Floyd Mayweather Laughs All The Way To The Bank After Jake Paul Fight Despite Folks Being Disappointed

While some fans weren’t pleased with the Floyd Mayweather vs. Jake Paul fight that’s the least of Floyd’s concerns. The undefeated boxer is laughing all the way to the bank as he scooped up a crazy bag after the fight.

Find out how much he made, plus who was in the mix to watch the fight live inside…

From famed boxer to legal bank robber! No, really.

Floyd Mayweather should probably write a link up with someone to write a book on his finesse game. The The 44-year-old former multi-weight class world champion hopped in the ring for an exhibition style fight against 24-year-old famed YouTuber Jake Paul on Sunday night, which aired on pay-per-view.

Anticipation was HIGH before the fight, but the uneventful fight left many fans underwhelmed. Peep some reaction tweets below:

That was so uneventful. Literally nothing cool, or funny, happened. pic.twitter.com/LuKnEYThYh

— ShayMyName2 (@imstillshannon) June 7, 2021

Lmao again…YALL paid $50 to watch that go eight rounds, with nothing of significance happening outside of those two securing the bag? You’re the losers of that fight. pic.twitter.com/tc3Yzi0oSD

— Connor Ulrey (@connorulrey) June 7, 2021

I feel awful for anyone that paid for that.

— Michael J. Duarte (@michaeljduarte) June 7, 2021

Wow. Okay. That was immensely disappointing.

— Amanda Guerra (@AmandaGuerraCBS) June 7, 2021

Despite folks poppin’ off on the lackluster fight, Floyd & Jake are both laughing all the way to the bank. They both were paid handsomely for the exhibition fight. Mayweather reportedly nabbed a $10 million base salary and 50% of the pay-per-view shares. Before the fight, Floyd estimated that he could be set to bring in more than $100 million, depending on how the fight sold. Meanwhile, Paul received a $250,000 guaranteed base pay with 10% of shares. Paul told TMZ he believes his final earnings could reach up to $20 million.

Paul survived all eight rounds with Mayweather. There were no knockdowns or knockouts (even though it was allowed), so that’s why fans were a bit annoyed. There was no excitement, but both boxers could care less. Their bank accounts are getting all of the excitement.

After the fight, Mayweather gave the perfect recap of how good he is at making money.

"When it comes to legalized bank robbing, I’m the best," he told the media.

T.I. Drops ‘What It’s Come To’ Visuals Where He Addresses ‘Scorned Women’ Amid Sexual Assault Accusations, Alleged Victim Responds

T.I. responds to the sexual assault allegations again with the release of the visuals to his latest single "What It’s Come To," which features his wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris. Sabrina Peterson – the couple’s former friend – responds to his musical release. More inside…

T.I. responds to the sexual assault allegations made against himself and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, again. Last month, he released a new track titled "What It’s Come To" where he seemingly addressed the serious sexual abuse allegations made against him.

On the track, Tip addressed a “scorned woman” who’s trying to extort him:

"Behind the foreign cars, clothes and expensive jewelry/I got a heart made of gold, motives be the purest/And they say hell have no fury like a woman’s scorn/Fuck that, I’m crankin’ up the jury, who you lyin’ on shawty?/Extortion, is that what you got your mind on, shawty?/Tell ’em, "Get it how you live, shawty, I ain’t goin’ for it"

The lyrics seemingly coincide with his criminal case (yes, the LAPD is currently investigating him) and the visuals do the same. In the music video, Tip & Tiny are the subjects of a criminal investigation, however, it’s led by a woman Tip refers to as "The Parasite" instead of the case being conducted by the police.

The track was released on the heels of that news that the LAPD is investigating an alleged incident from 2005. If the police are able to find enough information to bring up charges, it’s reported the file will be passed to Los Angeles County D.A. George Gascón’s office. It will then be up to the D.A. and the office’s sex crimes unit to decide if they want to take further action.

The sexual abuse allegations made against rapper T.I. (real name Clifford Harris) and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris aren’t going away any time soon. Dozens of women have come forward to accuse the couple of sexual abuse, including claims of forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, coercion, and intimidation in Georgia and California.

The allegations were made public after Tip & Tiny’s former friend, Sabrina Peterson, filed a defamation suit against them back in March. You’ll recall, the sex abuse scandal was brought to light back in January after Sabrina publicly put the LIBRA rapper on blast for allegedly holding her at gunpoint in front of children a few years ago. Some of the alleged sexual assault incidents date back almost 15 years ago.

After Tip released the visuals, Sabrina responded where she called him out for mocking her in the video and victim shaming.

"I have been in federal trouble before, no matter how the public feels about they can’t save you. Since your million dollar team won’t tell you I will. You aren’t taunting me you are taunting your investigators. You aren’t taunting me you are igniting more women that have stayed quiet that you victimized DUMMY," she wrote in a post on Instagram before setting her page private. In the caption, she wrote:

"Many of your fans have been victimized in their lifetime. Your tactics aren’t a good look.

"It’s actually sad! It’s heartbreaking! It’s one thing to put a gun to a woman’s head but it something totally different to keep attempting to victimized that woman again & again.

"When it’s all said it done I took the high road & tried to give mercy but you repaid it with mockery. Get out the booth & behind cameras & SEE ME IN COURT!

"To all men out here victimizing women just note this your victim may be a child today, she may be broke today, she may be dumb today but you DONT KNOW WHO YOUR VICTIMS WILL BECOME.

He also mocked Sabrina for requesting an apology:

Word On The Curb Is That Father-Of-7 Cam Newton & IG Comedienne Jazzy Are In Some Type Of Situationship

Another pandemic romance? Fans believe so. It appears NFL quarterback Cam Newton may have a new woman in his life. Word on the curb is that he’s dating Instagram comedian Jazmin "Jazzy" Brown. And there are receipts!

Check them out inside…

Is there a love connection between a NFL baller and an IG comedienne? Fans sure believe so after piecing together some social media content.

There’s talk that New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton has a new woman in his life and folks believe it’s Instagram comedienne Jazmin "Jazzy" Brown. The reason? Well, she’s been commenting and liking flicks and videos on his social media pages type heavy. Not only that, there are rumors that the two have been spotted together in Atlanta and in L.A. And some folks believe their social media pics prove she’s been posting from his house.

We know what you’re thinking…didn’t he just welcome a baby boy with IG fitness model Reina Shaw a few years ago? Yes, he did. On Father’s Day last year, Cam gushed about being a father of 7 children – five biological ones and two stepchildren between his ex-girlfriends Kia Proctor and Reina Shaw. Cam took on the father role for Kia & Reina’s children both had from previous relationships.

While his hands are busy juggling his time being a father and playing quarterback for the Patriots, he has still found time for another girlfriend…allegedly.

Word on the curb is that Cam is dating/seeing/(or whatever else you want to include here) Instagram comedian Jazmin "Jazzy" Brown.

Chick has been heavy in his comments on social media lately:

Before she became a regular in Cam’s comment section, fans were already piecing things together.

In February 2021, both Cam and Jazzy shared flicks that they were watching the sun rise on Venice Beach. Of course, they didn’t post pictures of themselves together, however, they did put up IG Stories right after one another, which you can check out below:

Following the IG Stories flicks, they also posted up timeline photos:

Oh, but get this…

In March 2021, Reina posted a picture with her son’s father Cam after a workout, which served as the first photo of Cam and Reina together….ever.

Months later, there’s talk that Jazzy is posing it up at Cam’s Boston apartment…

IG blog WagsUnfiltered put photos of Jazzy and Cam side-by-side, claiming she was at his Boston residence. It’s unclear if she was actually there, so you can be the judge of that:

Summer Walker Posts Thirst Trap IG Flicks After Blasting Her BD London On Da Track…Again

Summer Walker did a photo dump on her social media where she gave fans a sneak peek at her lady lumps. The risqué photo dump comes after she blasted her daughter’s dad, London On The Track, for the umpteenth time. Yes, we’re exhausted as well.

More inside…

It’s round #765874 of Summer Walker blasting her daughter’s dad London On The Track. Yep, they’re on bad terms…again.

It’s been super rocky between singer Summer Walker and her producer baby daddy London On The Track since they began dating in 2019. One minute they’re good, the next…not so much.

Right now, they’re on the outs and the "Girls Need Love" singer is letting everyone know it…as she often does. Well, as they both like to do.

London hopped on Twitter with a subliminal message, writing, "Don’t feel bad about helping someone & then they casually forget when they are in a better situation …. A river that forgets it’s source will soon dry out."

Obviously, Summer felt a way about his tweet, so she addressed it on her IG Stories, sharing a screenshot of his tweet with a response:

"Ladies run from this type of man. A man that believes you are NOTHING without them from the start till the end will never want you to be anything without them. They will sabotage anything you do solo and envy you once you begin to stand on your own 2 feet. That’s not real love, that’s control. Big narcissist vibes."

She continued:

"God is my source [laughing emoji]. Don’t ever play yourself & most importantly there’s no I in Team."

"& why would you want the mother of your child to soon ‘dry out’ so that I can’t provide for her. Lmaooo n*ggas is weird. If you ain’t the captain of the ship it’s just sink the whole ship lmao. Okay I’m done."

Then, she followed up with some thirst trap flicks, which you can swipe through below:

We’ve gone through enough of their social media spats to know by now they could make up tonight and will be in the studio together sharing lovey dovery videos. Oh yes, it has happened before, so again, we wouldn’t be surprised.

Before drama with her daughter’s dad, some fans were dragging her on social media after she shared a picture of herself holding her 2-month-old daughter:

Apparently, people had an issue with how frail Summer’s baby looks to them after she shared what she’s feeding her baby. In a social media post, Summer posted a picture of food ingredients where it appeared she was mixing hemp seed hearts, raw honey and mushroom powder into a drink. Some folks even threatened to call CPS on Summer for child neglect/abuse.

The 25-year-old kept her daughter’s face covered in the shot since she previously told her fans she would never post pictures of her child.

Peep some of the backlash below:

— A (@mayatbhh) May 27, 2021

In response to the backlash, she wrote on IG Stories:

“Yall: POST THE BABY BITCH WE WANNA SEE! Also y’all: roasting a baby who’s [sic] face you can’t even see. lol make it make sense. In conclusion mf’s is weird and I will never post my baby so stop asking.”

The backlash about her daughter clearly pissed her off because she also said she’s no longer interacting with her fans.

"Diva mode activated," she wrote on her IG Stories.

"Keep a couple wet wipes in case a bum try to touch me, ew – Nicki Minaj. Pictures, hugs, casual chats, autographs Deadianna," she wrote.

Hmm…we’ll see how long she keeps the anti-fan vibes since the nation is opening back up and she’ll be able to hit the road soon. Concerts + meet & greets = COINS.

Evelyn Lozada Announces She’s Leaving ‘Basketball Wives’ After 9 Seasons, But These Familiar Faces Are Returning

Evelyn Lozada has decided to leave "Basketball Wives" for good. Find out why she has called it quits after 9 seasons, plus deets on several familiar faces that will be making a return inside…

Evelyn Lozada‘s claim to fame came when she appeared on "Basketball Wives: Miami" in 2010. She was casted on the show following her relationship with NBA player Antoine Walker from 1998 until 2008. Her fiery personality made her a fan favorite quickly. Well, a favorite to some and a favorite to hate for others. Either way, folks were checking for her.

After 9 seasons on the hit reality show, Evelyn is shooting her last shot…again. The reality show star chopped it up with E!’s Justin Sylvester on "Just The Sip" podcast where she announced she is leaving the (often toxic) show for good.

“I am no longer going to do Basketball Wives,” she said. “I think that it’s time for me to open up the universe to other things and it’s been a hard decision because I can do it with my eyes closed. But it’s so difficult and it takes so much energy and it’s not the most positive energy.”

“But at the same time I think it’s so difficult and it takes so much energy and it’s not the most positive energy and I just open up to the universe to allow other things to flow in,” she added.

This past season was hard for Ev. The 45-year-old reality star battled her on-again, off-again BFF Jennifer Williams, she duked it out with frenemy/co-star Tami Roman and that ongoing legal battle with Ogom "OG" Chijindu (who accused her of defamation) is still ongoing. Ev has had enough and is now focusing more on how her actions and comments can/would affect her children.

“Sometimes you have to say ‘Alright I gotta walk away from this’ – I have to close the door,” she said. “So I’ve been feeling this type of way for the past few seasons. Miami days, we would have scenes and I didn’t care what happened in those scenes, I’d walk away. But now I have a conscious of what I say and what I do and what my kids are going to see. I walk away from it feeling heavy.”

Peep her announcement below:

In case you forgot, Evelyn quit the show after Season 5 when she was dealing with her domestic violence situation with her ex-husband/former NFL star Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson. Following her domestic violence drama, Ev landed her own reality show, "Living’ With Lozada," which premiered on OWN. The show only lasted for two seasons before she made her return to "BBW."

Now, Evelyn is focused on raising her children and expanding her health & fitness brand, her jewelry line and her CBD collection.

Good for her.

As for the next season of "Basketball Wives"….

With Ev leaving the franchise, a group of familiar faces will be making a return.

According to HipHollywood, former "BBW: LA" stars Brittish Williams, DJ Duffey, Angel Brinks and Brooke Bailey will be making a return for Season 10. The site reports:

Brooke Bailey, Brittish Williams, DJ Duffey and Angel Brinks have all been given offers to return for season 10. We’re told the four ladies in particular have all said yes and filming is set start soon. They will join cast members Jackie Christie, Malaysia Pargo, Jennifer Williams and twins Nia and Noria Dorsey. Per the source, executive producer Shaunie O’Neal will appear in a limited capacity and “is focused on creating new and fresh content through her production deal with the network.” A source close to production also revealed that Basketball Wives alum Brandi Maxiell may also rejoin the series for season 10. Maxiell was a cast member on ‘Basketball Wives LA’ and appeared on season 6 of ‘Basketball Wives’.

Hmm…should "BBW" just wrap it up for good or nah?

In the trailer for the doc, the legendary singer opened up about a low point in her life where she no longer wanted to live.

“‘My Life’ is probably my darkest album at one of the darkest times I’ve had," the 50-year-old singer said. “Most of the time I was just depressed and didn’t want to live. I had it all inside and I was able to sing it and write it, and I didn’t know that so many people felt the same way.”

Growing up in the Bronx, she knew she wanted to get out and her pen helped her to do just that.

“The only thing, I think, that kept us guided was the music. It just saved you. In the neighborhood we lived in, it’s like prison. There was a lot wrong, and it was a lot. I needed to get out. That’s why I had that pen," the nine-time Grammy Award winner said.

Several of Mary’s celeb friends, including Taraji P. Henson, Diddy, and Alicia Keys will appear in the documentary. Mary co-executive produced the doc alongside Diddy, and Quincy Jones served as the executive music producer.

She’s the youngest living person to be honored by the theater, joining the like of Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder and Little Richard.

If you haven’t heard, former Death Row Records affiliate Danny Boy recently made claims that MJB had sex with him when he was a minor back in the 90s. He claims he was 15/16 years-old when he had sex with the R&B songstress.

However, a YouTuber read his book and broke down how his story has changed multiple times since he came out with the alleged claims. He may have been of age, actually. And she came with receipts. Watch it above.

Venus Williams’ Energy Towards Media Scrutiny Amid Naomi Osaka’s French Open Exit Is EVERYTHING

Venus Williams gives an epic response on how she responds to media scrunity following Naomi Osaka‘s decision to withdraw from the French Open to protect her mental health. Find out Venus and her sister Serena Williams‘ responses to Naomi’s withdrawal inside…

One of the tennis queens have spoken!

Venus Williams drops her own two cents on how she handles media scrutiny following Naomi Osaka‘s decision to pull out of the French Open to protect her mental health. And her response was epic.

"For me personally, how I deal with it was that I know every single person asking me a question can’t play as well as I can and never will," Venus said during a press conference following her first-round loss in the French Open. "So no matter what you say or what you write, you’ll never light a candle to me."

"So that’s how I deal with it. But each person deals with it differently," she said.

MIC.DROP. Don’t come for her unless she sends for you.

On Monday, Naomi withdrew from the French Open almost a week after she announced she would not participate in any media interviews during the tournament due to mental health concerns.

— NaomiOsaka (@naomiosaka) May 31, 2021

The 23-year-old four-time Grand Slam champion was fined $15,000 on Sunday, which she donated to a mental health charity. All 4 of the Grand Slams banded together to put out a statement threatening to disqualify her if she continued her boycott of media interviews.  ugh.

Tennis GOAT Serena Williams also addressed Naomi’s exit, saying she has struggled with press scrutiny as well, but that it ultimately made her stronger. And Naomi is handling this the best way she can.

"The only thing I feel is that I feel for Naomi," explained the 39-year-old Grand Slam champion. "I feel like I wish I could give her a hug because I know what it’s like."

“Not everyone is the same. I’m thick. Other people are thin. Everyone is different and everyone handles things differently. You just have to let her handle it the way she wants to and the best way she thinks she can. That’s the only thing I can say. I think she is doing the best she can," said the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

Earlier this week, Naomi Osaka revealed she suffered from "long bouts of depression" since defeating Serena at the U.S. Open in 2018 where she won the first of her four majors. She also revealed she gets "huge waves of anxiety" before speaking with the press.

NIKE issued a statement in Naomi’s defense:

"We wish to offer Naomi Osaka our support and assistance in any way possible as she takes time away from the court," the statement read.

And we’ll just leave this here…

I see the French Open has returned to my timeline yet again… Let’s remember the time they banned Serena Williams from wearing a black cat suit that was designed to stop blood clots after giving birth.

Rihanna had a vision for her newest VOGUE cover and she understood the assignment!

Almost 12 years after her first appearance on one of the top fashion magazines in the world, the Fenty Beauty mogul returns to grace the cover of VOGUE Italia’s June 2021 issue. Get this…

The global superstar graced her first VOGUE cover for Italia’s September 2009 issue. Now, it’s like a full circle moment over a decade later where SHE is calling all of the shots. Oh yes, RiRi does more than pose it up in front of a camera. For the "do it yourself" issue, she served as the model, the photographer and the stylist!

Dripping in Valentino, the Pop Princess oozed sex appeal with an exaggerated model pose that showed off extra skin, but she kept it classy. The pixie cut topped off the high fashion lewk and we stan.

Rihanna by Rihanna and we’re here for it!

“In recent years we have tried to use our cover in many different ways: with photography or illustrations, or with no images at all," said Emanuele Farneti, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia.

"But we’ve never invited the featured person to do everything by themselves: to pose, take the photographs and choose the clothes to wear. If there was a right occasion for this new experiment, it could only have been the DIY issue. Neither could there have been a better protagonist than Rihanna – who has appeared on so many covers, but never like this time in the version in which she, and only she, has chosen to portray herself, without filters or any mediation," he continued.

Fans noticed some Internet chatter that said her VOGUE Italia cover pushed her next to singer Madonna as two singers who achieved "The Big Four" in Vogue history, which means they have covered American VOGUE, British VOGUE, VOGUE Paris and VOGUE Italia. However, she accomplished that goal in 2017 when she appeared on VOGUE Paris. By that time, she had already landed covers on "The Big Four."

Of course, that Rihanna reign still isn’t letting up.

ANOTHER ONE! Usher & Girlfriend Jenn Expecting Baby Number Two, 8 Months After Welcoming Baby Sovereign

Welp, that was quick.  Baby #2 is on the way for Usher and his girlfriend Jenn.  Deets inside.

The iHeart Awards host  and soon-to-be Vegas showstopper Usher has A LOT going on these days. And he’s now added another baby to the mix!

The 42-year-old has clearly been making moves during this pandemic both on and off the stage.  He’s got another baby on the way, making it his fourth child total.  He shares his two oldest boys with ex-wife Tameka Raymond.  He and girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea also welcomed a baby girl in September named Sovereign Bo Raymond (pictured below).  And they posed it up backstage at the iHeart Awards a few nights ago with a baby bump (pictured above).  Jenn also posted the pics on Instagram saying, "Another one!"

As for Baby Sovereign’s unique name, Usher told "Extra" that it stems from her ruling the household:

“So Sovereign… is such a beautiful word and name to me, you know, a supreme ruler is obviously the defined name… She’s definitely ruling the household, but Sovereign Bo Ray — Bo is at the end of it, so she’s my little reign-bo,” he said pronouncing it like rainbow. Gushing, he added, “I’m on diaper duty plus, man, and she has yummy toes. Yes, I can’t help it.”

Usher was on hosting and performance duty at the iHeart Awards, killing the stage harder than most of his younger R&B cohorts with a "You Got It Bad"/"You Don’t Have to Call"/"OMG" (plus all his other hits) mash up. You couldn’t tell he hasn’t been getting much sleep being up with an 8-month old most nights:

Ursh is gearing up for his Vegas residency too, kicking off at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 16.  Yes, with the Ushbucks and all.

“So as we count down my Vegas residency, man, I’ve been wanting to do this for many years. And what better time than the present to make it happen? I’ve been in preparation for that, and this is just a bit of a warm-up for what you’re going to get in July.”

He’s using his Ushbucks to promote the show. “So [last Wednesday], actually we’re launching online Usherbucks.io… Of course, you’ve seen and heard about the Ushbucks,” he said, handing some to Jenn and joking, “Don’t spend it all in one place, baby… It’s all about the Raymonds, baby, all about the Raymonds.”

CUTENESS OVERLOAD: G Herbo & Taina Show Off Baby Essex William Wright

G Herbo and Taina Williams are showing off their adorable baby boy, Essex William Wright, just days after he made his grand entrance into the world. Get into the cuteness overload inside…

A couple of days ago, rapper G Herbo and his girlfriend Taina Williams welcomed their first child together. The happy couple named their baby boy Essex William Wright. Herbo grew up on 79th & Essex, so the baby’s name is seemingly a tribute to his beginnings.

Baby Essex was born May 27, 2021 at 12:23am, weighing in at 6lbs 12oz. And to say he’s adorable is an understatement.

After G Herbo shared a picture of the baby’s hand on his arm, Taina gave fans a full shot of their new bundle of joy. Baby Essex was dressed up in a rainbow onesie with a matching cap. Fans noticed Taina used the hashtag #myrainbowbaby, which led some fans to believe she may have suffered a miscarriage before as “rainbow baby” is a term used for babies born after the mother has suffered a miscarriage. The new mom didn’t specify if that is the case or not, though.

And “Mimi” Emily B gushed over her grandson with a sweet message.

”So, there’s a boy. He stole my heart,” she wrote. “Essex William Wright.”

”Congratulations @latainax3 & @nolimitherbo! Remember there’s no place like home—except Mimi’s house lol!”

FabPa (rapper Fabolous) hopped in the comments and posted a black heart along with the grandpa emoji.

Baby Essex is Taina’s first child and Herbo’s second. The PTSD rapper has a 3-year-old son, Yosohn Wright, from a previous relationship with Ari Fletcher.

While his personal life is going great, G Herbo is currently in the middle of legal drama. He recently entered a not guilty plea on a new charge of lying to the feds amid his wire fraud case.

On May 25th (two days before Essex was born), G Herbo (real name Herbert Wright III) reportedly entered a “not guilty” plea via a Zoom conference with U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Swervo rapper has been accused of lying about participating in alleged identity/wire fraud and his dealings with the man identified as his manager, Antonio Strong.

This past December, G Herbo turned himself in to police over the 14-count indictment, to face charges that include conspiracy to commit wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and aiding and abetting. The next pretrial hearing in the case is set for August 5th.

Herbo and Taina are also building their first home together, so there’s plenty to get done before August.

Blac Chyna Points Out ‘Baby Mama’ Double Standard When It Comes To The Kardashians – ‘If They Were Black, They’ll Say It’s Ghetto’

Blac Chyna woke up and chose….truth. Sis had some things on her mind that she shared with her social media followers that pointed out the double standard about “baby mamas” when it comes to The Kardashians. Find out what she said inside….

Blac Chyna woke up and chose….the truth… recently when she hopped online to shed light on the double standards that exist between black women and the Kardashian sisters, including Kim, Kourtney, Kylie, and Khloe.

Oh yes, Chyna got on Beyonce’s internet to call a spade a spade and she clearly doesn’t care who doesn’t like it. There were no subliminals, no reading between the lines. Chy said exactly what she wanted to say. It’s unclear what prompted the online commentary (since she shared a picture that was posted a while ago), but sometimes a chick just has to release some things off her chest.

The Lash Boutique owner shared a picture from a Kim K IG fan page of the KKW Beauty honcho’s “surprise” party that went down in October 2020 on her IG Stories. She captioned a picture of Kim and her sisters:

“If they were black, they’ll say it’s Ghetto BUT ALL OF THEM ARE BABY MAMAS,” Chyna wrote.

Honestly though, where is the lie? Society is quick to shame a black woman for having kids and not being married to the kids’ father(s). Yet, when “others” do it, their actions aren’t scrutinized. If anything, their actions are celebrated by their fan bases. Take Khloe, for example. It’s rumored she’s trying to have baby #2 via surrogate with her cheating boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Make it make sense.

Kim is set to divorce the father of her four kids, Kanye West. Kourtney never married her kids’ father Scott Disick. Obviously, Khloe and Tristan aren’t married. And Kylie isn’t married to her daughter’s father, Travis Scott.

Again, we aren’t sure what prompted Chy to pop off on the Kardashian-Jenner clan. What we do know is that she’s in the middle of a court battle with the Kardashian-Jenner clan over her reality show, “Rob & Chyna,” being canceled.

In the suit, Chy claims Kim, her momager Kris Jenner, and the family conspired to have E! execs cancel the 2nd season of Chyna’s reality show with her daughter’s dad, Rob Kardashian. She claims the family told lies about her, which resulted in the network axing her show, causing her to lose millions.

The Kardashian-Jenners have reportedly been trying to have the case dismissed, but they haven’t been successful. If they don’t reach an agreement soon, the case will go to trial later this year. Oop.

The 10-day trial for the Chy’s case was originally set to start on November 29, 2021, but will now take place a whole month earlier on October 18, 2021.

In a statement to Page Six, Chyna’s lawyer, Lynne Ciani, said the reality star is “thrilled” that her court date has been rescheduled. But according to the legal documents, both parties are also still open to pursuing mediation before the trial starts this fall, and a post-mediation status hearing has been set for July 26, 2021.

We shall see….

TALKIN’ THAT ISH: Mo’Nique Calls Out Young, Black Women Wearing Bonnets & Pajamas In Public

Mo’Nique is sick of black women not looking presentable in public, so she delivered a social media PSA to the women who aren’t representing themselves like she feels they should. See her message to the youngings inside…

Famed actress Mo’Nique is not here for black women not looking presentable in public. And she’s letting folks know exactly how she feels about it.

After seeing her “young sistas” in the airport, Oscar winner Mo’Nique felt compelled to record a video to encourage “young queens in training” to stop wearing bonnets, slippers, pajamas, and blankets in public.

After seeing black women in the Atlanta airport wearing bonnets and pajamas, the comedienne/actress issued a PSA for seasoned black women to pull younger black women aside when they see a “young sista” who’s not representing herself in the best way possible.

”As we began to walk through the airport, I saw so many – actually too many to count and too many for me to tap – but, I saw so many of our young sistas in head bonnets, scarves, slippers, pajamas, blankets wrapped around them…and this is how they are showing up to the airport.

The Precious star continued:

”And the question I am having to you, my sweet babies – when did we lose pride in representing ourselves? When did we step away from let me make sure I’m presentable when I leave my home? Let me make sure I’m representing the family I created so that if I’m out in the street I look like I have pride in myself.”

Peep her IG Live below:

There have been mixed reactions to Mo’s PSA. Some agree with her comments, while others call her out for being hypocritical. Some social media users pointed out the fact she had on a rob to film a video that would reach the masses while condemining women doing the same thing when they trek through an airport. There’s also the idea that respectability politics rarely, if ever, work for black people.  Blacks are often disrespected whether they’re wearing a tailored suit and floor length gown or bonnets and durags.  But, should this convo be more about SELF respect than it is about acting in a way that should be deemed respectable to others?  Especially when white people walk around in their pajamas too and have no problem getting the same respect?

Do you agree or disagree with Mo’Nique?

Bill Cosby Denied Parole After Refusing To Participate In Sex Offender Programs, Boosie – Of Course – REACTS

Bill Cosby has been denied parole by the Pennsylvania Parole Board after refusing to take state-mandated sex offender programs in prison. The “Cosby” creator/star maintains his innocence while rapper Boosie tweets for his release. Deets inside…

Bill Cosby isn’t getting our of prison anytime soon.

The 83-year-old “Cosby” creator was denied parole after refusing to participate in state-mandated sex offender programs during his nearly three years behind bars. Cosby said he would serve the full 10-year sentence rather than acknowledge wrongdoing and take part in a therapy program for sexually violent predators.

Bill Cosby refuses sex offender therapy in prison because he doesn’t see his rape as abuse. Abusers never do.

Meanwhile his victims sigh with great relief that Cosby’s parole was denied.
Thank you Pennsylvania https://t.co/qiJkbEcFwi

— P.A.M. Hydress (@PameLaFF) May 28, 2021

This is the first year Cosby was eligible for parole since his guilty verdict was handed down. Cosby was sentenced to 3-10 years on September 25, 2018 after he was found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault. Cosby was accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004

Since his conviction, Cosby has been serving out his sentence at SCI-Phoenix in Montgomery County, Pa.

Laura Treaster, a spokeswoman for the state parole board, confirmed the decision, which was made on May 11.

Cosby spokesperson Andrew Wyatt called the decision “appalling” and said Cosby “vehemently proclaims his innocence.”

“We knew he was going to be rejected,” said Andrew Wyatt. “He called me and told me that if he didn’t take the course, he would be denied. He has maintained his innocence from the beginning.”

The troubled star must also overcome a recommendation against parole from the state Department of Corrections and maintain a clear conduct record. Cosby was also told to develop “parole release plan.”

In the meantime, Cosby is keeping hope alive that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court will rule in his favor after filing an appeal this past December. The court has not ruled yet.

Cosby’s lawyers argued the trial was flawed because five other accusers were allowed to testify to support the sexual assault complaint filed by a former Temple University basketball team manager. Not only that, they also said the judge should not have let the jury hear Cosby’s damaging testimony from accuser Andrea Constand’s related civil suit.

Rapper Boosie Badazz has been a Cosby supporter since the sexual assault reports first came out. He’s still riding for Bill on social media:

They really hoping BILL COSBY die in prison SMH FREEBILL

— Boosie BadAzz (@BOOSIEOFFICIAL) May 28, 2021

Not surprised seeing that he often minimizes sexual assault, including of his own children, and holds misogynous views of women.

Vivica A. Fox Posts Throwback Coupledom Flick With Ex 50 Cent After Responding To His Current Girlfriend Over Interview

Lordt, what is going on?! Vivica A. Fox did an interview where she talked about how her ex-50 Cent was the love of her life and she still has a special place in heart. Fif’s current girlfriend Cuban Link chimed in, which caused Viv to pop back. Oh, Fif responded to Viv’s interview and his response may surprise you.

Get it all inside…

Vivica A. Fox has stirred up some drama online and it involves her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent and his current girlfriend Cuban Link .

“The main thing that killed the relationship is that we just went way too public way too fast,” the Independence Day actress said about her romance with 50 Cent. The two started dating in 2003 when Viv was at the height of her career and Fif was breaking out as a solo rap artist. They dated for a few months and called it quits. However, Viv still has a lot of love for Curtis Jackson.

”The love that I had for him and still to this day…will always like…he was the love of my life, I will admit that without any reservations.”

The Two Can Play That Game actress believes had they waited to go public with their relationship, it would have lasted longer. Ultimately, that’s what broke them up.

She continued, “He will always have a very special place in my heart. But the reason why the relationship ended was because we just went public way too fast, had way too many people in our business.

”If I was to have a chance to do it over, it would be that we stayed private a lot longer, but we got too many people in our business and you know, that’s what killed the relationship, unfortunately.”

Peep the clip from the interview below:

50 Cent was asked his thoughts about Vivca speaking on their former relationship by radio host Kris Kaylin. And he shockingly wasn’t shady or disrespectful.

“I’m never bothered by when she says that,” he said. “At the time that we actually interacted with each other, we weren’t conscious of everything else that was going on.”

The "Power" producer reiterated what Vivica said about having too many people involved in their relationship, and suggested it may have lasted had it remained private.

900,000LBS Of Mary Jane! Jay-Z Is Making Major Boss Moves On His Quest To Take Over The Marijuana Industry

One thing about Jay-Z, when he gets involved in new projects, he takes them to the next level. We told you about the rapper-turned-Hip Hop mogul’s new cannabis brand a few months ago. Now, we’ve got deets about how he’s expanding his marijuana brand for the elite cannabis connoisseurs. Read up on how he’s making his mark inside….

Jay-Z is not playing any games when it comes to scooping a bag! He has his hand in music, sports management, and streaming – just to name a few. Now, he’s ready to take over the marijuana industry.

Back in October, we told you the Hip Hop mogul was getting his feet wet in the cannabis industry. Since then, he has been making major moves behind-the-scenes to bring the finest strains of cannabis to marijuana mavens.

After announcing his cannabis brand MONOGRAM, the Roc Nation Business MAN inked a deal that will produce 900,000 pounds of his product!

So check it, Hov’s MONOGRAM company is owned by The Parent Company (TPCO Holding Corp.). The rap legend – who is the Chief Visionary Officer – helped the brand acquire another cannabis company called Mercer Park Brand Acquisition Corp. Then, there’s a merger with another cannabis brand, Glass House Group, which is reportedly worth $567 million.

With the merger, Monogram will have ownership in California’s largest cannabis producer. The Parent Company also negotiated a 10-year deal with Glass House, which will produce almost half a million pounds of cannabis biomass.

Also, The Parent Company and Glass House are finishing up a $25 million retail partnership agreement over six years that will enable the Parent Company’s products – including MONOGRAM – to be sold across all Glass House retail locations. Talk about cutting out the middle man and owning every step.

“These partnerships are a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term access to over 900,000 pounds of high-quality, low-cost, California-grown cannabis for use across our expanding portfolio of branded products,” said Steve Allan, Chief Executive Officer of The Parent Company. “Our focus over the last 100 days has been to continue to scale up our supply chain. Our strategic investment accomplishes two important components, gaining access to Glass House’s greenhouse-grown cannabis at attractive pricing and expanding the distribution of our products to their network of retail stores.”

A post shared by MONOGRAM (@monogramcompany)

The Parent Company has reportedly purchased four acres of licensed high-quality outdoor cultivation from a consortium of experienced cannabis farms affiliated with a company called Mosaic.Ag. It’s going down.

Jay-Z’s MONOGRAM marks a new chapter in cannabis defined by dignity, care and consistency. It is a collective effort to bring you the best, and a humble pursuit to discover what the best truly means. MONOGRAM has assembled a board of cannabis experts who grade and select every flower by hand. These luminaries have developed a program of extended humidity control, post-harvest care, trimming and flushing that guarantees our finished product is the best it can be.

The new company comes over a year after the artist-turned-entrepreneur was named the Chief Brand Strategist of the California-based cannabis company Caliva where he helps out with creative decisions, outreach efforts, strategy, and social justice issues surrounding legalization.

Cannabis connoisseurs, get excited!

You may remember in 2018 when the famed supermodel got into a social media spat with reality star Kim Kardashian West where she insinuated he was gay. He denied it.

Now, he’s spilling more tea about his drama with Kim K and her estranged husband Kanye West following the online feud. The trailblazing model told Sharon Carpenter during her “Let’s Go Live!” IG series that Kim K knows personally he isn’t gay and he was shady about it.

“But [Kim] forgot that we had hung out a few times and we do know each other via Paris Hilton and also my boy Scott Storch, when he was dating Paris,” he revealed. “We met in Miami years ago when she was having her little issue with one of the boyfriends,” he dished.

”One of the boyfriends” SENT US! He claims he and Kim had a "situation" for a few days, so, according to him, she knows he isn’t gay.

“It was weird, it didn’t need to go that far but she took it there,” he said about the social media feud. “But before I could even say anything, the gay community stepped up and was like, ‘Oh no girlfriend. You’re not going to mess with one of our ambassadors who looks out for us and is always a guardian for us.’

The feud started when Tyson mentioned he doesn’t prefer women who have altered their bodies surgically.

"She is not real, doctor f*cked up on her right hip," he wrote in the comments under a picture of Kim K.

Kim K got tipped off and responded, “Sis we all know why you don’t care for it.”

Hmmm was Tyson not falling all over her sexually during that one alleged weekend and Kim made some assumptions because of it?  Amid fans going off in the comments, Tyson hopped on his IG Stories to make it clear that he said what he said and IG comments aren’t going to change his mind:

"I’m pretty, but I’m not gay,” he said during the recent interview with Sharon.

Following the social media drama, Tyson said he ran into Kanye West at an event for Hillary Clinton. He said he sat across from him at a table and he noticed ‘Ye tried to avoid contact and didn’t even speak. They met years before and they were good, but Kanye didn’t want to talk to Tyson that night. Cool. The high fashion model said he went to the bathroom at one point and one of Kanye’s homies came in the bathroom to talk to him. Tyson deaded the conversation and told Kanye’s friend “I suggest you leave this bathroom before I wipe you all over this wall.” Oop!

Tyson said the dude left and then two weeks later, Kanye uploaded a video on social media walking underneath the L-train in Chicago, raging about he wanted “some smoke.”

”And I’m like ‘you did not want no smoke.’ I had on my tuxedo and I would have undone my tie and got into it if you wanted to, but you didn’t. I don’t think he realized how big I was,” he said.

The Jamaican born model even joked about how “short” Kanye is and basically made it known that if the Chi-town rapper wanted to go there, he would have been ready.

”I don’t have drama with nobody, but I don’t back down from nobody. I’m not worried about rappers. I come from a world where I had criminals as friends.”

You heard him.

DESTINY’S CHILD HAD A MINI REUNION! Listen In On Beyoncé Saying She’s ‘Cooking Up New Music’ During Group Chat With Kelly & Michelle!

Michelle Williams let us all in on a “group chat” with her Destiny’s Child sisters Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland. And while “checking in,” Bey revealed she’s “cooking up” new music. This comes on the heels of Mama Tina Knowles-Lawson spilling tea about her daughters new projects.

More inside!

We love a good Destinys Child reunion around these parts.

Singer (and now author) Michelle Williams called up her Destiny’s Child sisters, Beyoncé & Kelly Rowland, to “check in” before the release of her new book titled, “Checking In.” Sharing a phone conversation with the ladies, Michelle gave fans an intimate look at the sisterhood between the DC ladies – years after they stopped performing together.

While chatting and kiki’n it up, new mom again Kelly Rowland (picture above holding her second son Noah) was whipping up a soup in the kitchen. Mrs. Carter chimed in that she’s also cooking up something….musically!

“I’m cooking some music. That’s Chef Boyardee and Chef Boy-Kelly,” she joked.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Knowles family then you already know Mama Tina Knowles-Lawson spilled tea last week that both Bey and Solange were working on new projects. Catch up HERE in case you missed.

We’d also like to note that Tina mentioned all THREE of her daughters working on new projects, so either Kelly is working on something solo or the ladies may come together in some form of fashion musically. We shall see. Listen, if they decide to end up doing a Destiny’s Child Reunion Tour, we’ve already made a list of requests we’d appreciate, which you can check out HERE.

During their conversation, talked about mental health and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic had on their lives as well as the importance of staying in touch with family and friends.
