YEAH, IT WAS REAL: Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock HARD On LIVE Oscars Stage After He Makes ‘G.I. Jane’ Joke About Jada’s Hair

What did we just witness? We’re still not sure.  Oscar nominee Will Smith got up out his seat and smacked Chris Rock in the face after he made a “G.I. Jane” joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith’s bald head during the live telecast of the Oscars.  Watch the awkward exchange (that we’re now finding out was real) inside…

Comedian Chris Rock took the stage at the 94th Annual Academy Awards where something happened to him he likely never imagined – Will Smith SMACKED him! Yep. Chris made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will wasn’t letting another person disrespect his wife in his face.

Apparently, Chris made a joke about Jada doing “G.I. Jane 2,” which was a joke about her bald head. She recently took to Instagram to reveal she was diagnosed with alopecia in 2018 and that’s what she’s rocking a bald head. After he made the joke, the camera zoomed in on Jada and she was CLEARLY annoyed.

”G.I. Jane 2. Can’t wait to see it,” Chris joked.

The camera panned over to the Smiths and Will initially laughed at the joke. But Jada seemed visibly irritated, rolling her eyes hard

When Will walked up on Chris, at first, it felt like a skit, or something they planned. Once Will got up on Chris, he literally slapped him across the face where Chris stepped back in shock. Will calmly walked off the stage and there was this awkward silence before Chris mentioned he had just got slapped by Will Smith.

The camera panned over to Will and viewers can see the Oscar nominee mouthing bad words to the comedian as he defended his wife. It was weird – Will and Jada didn’t get that upset about the entanglement jokes sprinkled thrughout the show, but maybe show producer Will Packer tipped them off about them beforehand. It’s possible Chris Rock went off script and Will just wasn’t having it.

"Keep my wife’s name out your f*cking mouth!," Will yelled.

Was it real? It sure seems like it. Diddy sure thought so because he said they were going to handle their issues like family after the show.

Someone who works for the Oscars told me that Chris Rock was not interrupted by Will Smith at rehearsals yesterday. It was not supposed to happen. It was real. #Oscars

Even Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry had to pull Will aside during the tv break and Will appeared to be wiping tears from his eyes:
