Tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams – subjects in the Oscar nominated film King Richard – introduced Beyonce before she came across the screen virtually from the Williams sisters’ hometown of Compton – the place they started playing tennis. Mrs. Carter performed “Be Alive,” which is a track on the King Richard soundtrack that is nominated for Best Song.

For the special performance, Bey’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, joined her to pay tribute to the tennis GOATS. Everyone dressed in tennis ball green, Bey, Blue, the background singers, musicians and dancers (some rocking the Williams Sisters’ braids & beads) delivered “Be Alive” for the first time ever. Get into it below:

”Be Alive” is nominated for Best Song and it’s Queen Bey’s first Oscar nomination. Fingers crossed she wins!
